The website says: A lightweight, creamy, discreetly opaque concealer. Provides a smooth, long-wearing invisible coverage for all skin blemishes. Water-resistant, fragrance-free and non-acnegenic. This emollient-based, lightweight concealer is so concentrated that a tiny amount can provide opaque coverage of the skin's imperfections and discolorations. It effectively covers dark circles, blemishes, moles, tattoos and birthmarks. Enriched with antioxidants (derivatives of Vitamin A and Vitamin E), it also contains Silica to help adsorb the skin's oils. Concealer has an SPF of 35 and is available in a wide range of colours. It can be applied with a medium to firm fiber brush (try the 242 Brush), a latex sponge, or the fingertips.
Vanessa says: It's a nice somewhat thick creamy concealer, can be cakey so it works best with an eye cream or moisturizer for a smoother application.
PROS: I am an NC30-NC35 so it blended so nicely on my skin (I used a concealer brush and dabbed), and it wasn't super creamy like other concealers which I liked because it wasn't "watery" and hence stayed on a bit longer than other ones.
CONS: I didn't find this to be water-resistant at all, as I have mentioned before I suffer from morning allergies which makes my eyes tear up like crazy, and I end up having to reapply this because it ends up coming off. It is a bit cakey and dry in consistency at times, but I solve this by dampening my concealer brush along with my eye cream already applied underneath my eyes.
Final word: All in all, I liked this concealer, it's not the best, but it brightened up my eyes a lot once it was on, I wish it did live up to its claim of being water-resistant though. Also, the compact case (same size as the MAC eyeshadows) is perfect for my purse.
Vanessa - It's great that you did this concealer review because I was just going to send you a question about concealer. I have only seen concealer in a color other than silly putty once and then it was a very deep redish brown color that I KNEW I couldn't use on my face. So I never even bothered with it before, but now I find that I really do need to use some. How do I go about matching the color of the concealer to my skin and what would you say is the best mid priced option that you have tried? I am about the complexion of Nia Long. Thanks again for this great blog! apb1172@yahoo.com
