FOTD: Shiny Shamrock!

Man I love days when I am off! I had this whole entire day to myself! (BF had work, neener neener!) So I woke up early this morning to my mom blowing up my cell phone, then she realized I was trying to sleep in and felt bad so she said she'd call me later, but of course I couldn't go back to sleep...so I just had me some yummy oatmeal cookies and started getting ready for my field trip to the MAC Pro Store!

Shayne, Mandy, Diane, and Genevieve, I ordered more jars which should be arriving hopefully this week, I will send your MAC Pigment Samples then! :)

I did another GREEN look (I love green!) using the new Milani wet/dry eyeshadows I bought from CVS, for this look I used "Shamrock" and "Bronze Doll". I love these eyeshadows! They have phenomenal color-payoff and they are so pretty both dry AND wet. (I used it wet for this look). I have always loved Milani, even before their new look/collection. I loved them so much I went back to CVS to get more colors!

Doesn't this pic look like I have short hair!?? I kinda like it, I think oneday I just wanna get some balls and just chop it off to a nice short bob, whatdya think?

My outfit to match! I bought this like 2 years ago and I still wear it! Forgot where I got it from...

I used MAC Paint Pot in "Cash Flow" all over the lid as a base and applied"Shamrock" wet on the lid just above the crease, and then contoured it with "Bronze Doll" (dry).

What I used:
Face:
- Physician's Formula Tinted Concealer
- StudioFinish Concealer NC30
- Silk Naturals Mineral Foundation (buttery gold)

Cheeks:
- EDM Blush in "Weekend Getaway"
- Milani "Luminous" Blush
- MAC Beauty Powder in "Drizzlegold"

Eyes:
- MAC Paint Pot in "Cash Flow" (all over the lid as a base)
- Milani Wet/Dry Eyeshadow in "Shamrock" applied WET on the lid just above the crease
- Milani Wet/Dry Eyeshadow in "Bronze Doll" contoured right above "Shamrock"
- Nixie Liquid Eyeliner in Black
- L'Oreal Carbon Black Telescopic Mascara
- AVON Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Celadon" on lower lashline

Lips:
- NYX Lipgloss in "Beige" (it's NOT beige! it's PINK but they call it Beige)

  1. Wow that look is so pretty!! Looks incredible :)

How do you use shadows (not pigments) wet? I put my wet brush on a MAC eyeshadow once and it made the eyeshadow harden, making it completely unusable. Do you put your wet brush directly on the shadow? How does that work? Thanks a million!!

  2. Hi Anonymous! Thank you doll!

I had someone ask me this question so im also going to post this as a reader question, MAC eyeshadows (as well as other eyeshadows) are not really meant to be applied wet since they are very well pigmented as it is, but what I do is spritz a tiny bit of water of mixing medium from a spray bottle onto my sponge tipped applicator or brush and LIGHTLY rub it on the eyeshadow gradually picking up more color. I know some gals also scrape a tiny bit of eyeshadow from the pan to work with...

  14. haha now I definitely have to stop by another CVS to get those Milani shadows - that shade of green is absolutely gorgeous! Question - when you used Cash Flow as your base, did you apply it all over the lid (lashline to browbone) or on the bottom of the lid (lashline to crease)?

Short hair is definitely nice, not that I'm biased or anything =P I think you'd look good with one of those bobs that angles out longer in the front.

  26. I have a question -

What type of NYX lipsticks did you get for 99 cents the other day and where at? Are they available at cherryculture for 99 cents, and if not, please still tell me the kind so that Ican look them up. There was a specific pink I adored.

    THANKS!

  31. Wow! i love that look! green looks great on you. I'm thinking about ordering some nyx glosses online. Do you know the full name of that gloss since they have many different types of lipglosses? thanks!

  32. Aww thank you ladies!

Anonymous- I listed the name of the gloss, it's really Beige, that's what's labeled on the lipgloss...

  33. I was hoping you could do a look with the lily white on the lid so i can see how white it is in comparison to just looking like a light silver...(that's how the swatch looked)...i'm looking for a nice 'white' eyeshadow but when i swatch what seems white, it comes off as light silver...
