BACK 2 MAC OH SMACK!

.::EDIT::. The MAC Stores near me (Glendale Mall and Topanga) have taken my depotted MAC eyeshadows even without the pan, I have heard last year that they were no longer taking those, but it never hurts to try as I have never had an issue with it. Also, you CAN use back 2 mac for LE (limited edition) items. :)

Happy Friday Gorgeous Readers! Hope you guys have fun plans for the weekend! I am just going to spend the weekend with some friends and relax for once! And definitely sleep in!

Anyway, I had 12 empty MAC containers for back 2 mac so I traded them in for "Money, Honey" Dazzleglass and the "Angel" lipstick. For those of you who don't know about back 2 mac, it's MAC's recycling program in which you can trade in 6 empty containers (NOT the packaging!)for ONE brand new MAC eye shadow (not the refills), a lipglass/dazzleglass, or an eyeshadow. This applies for freestanding MAC stores only, not department store MAC counters. At Nordstroms, Macy's, Bloomingdales, etc. you can only trade it in for a lipstick. (At least last time I checked...)

I personally like to accumulate my empties and then trade 'em in, rather than 6 at a time (unless I am impatient and need it right then and there which I often am! LOL)

"Angel" lipstick is the perfect nude pink, where it's not TOO pink, and not TOO nude- but just right. Reminds me of the "California Dreamin'" free lipstick MAC gave out to California residents last year. "Money, Honey" has tons of shimmer I love it! Makes your lips look like bling! HAHA.

Someone asked about the glamourdolleyes sample jars and how much product is in it, etc. It is definitely a generous amount of product for a sample, probably enough for 10+ uses! I supplied a pic at the bottom of this post so you can see for yourself how much product is in just a sample size!

    i <3 angel lipstick. i lost my tube last year :( money, honey is my everyday dazzle glass. it looks like a dark pink on your post but it reminds me of an amped up love nectar (with a light tinge of rose)...so beautiful! your post inspired me to do turquoise eyes w/light pink lips for tomorrow :)

    did u back 2 mac eyeshadows? Last time I heard, they want the whole thing back...like the pan the e/s sits in and the other plastic part. I have some empty ones, but I'm scared they won't accept it because I threw away the pan/plastic part that pops out when I depotted. I hope this makes sense =) Thank you.

    Hi,
    I'm from Turkey,unfortunately we have not B2M in here.Lots of MAC fans in here send
    e-mails to maccosmetics.com many times,
    but nothing happened.
    This is so sad,we are paying much more expensive prices for mac products(tax,exchange rate etc.)than other countries.
    Collections come here about 2 months late.
    We are all ok.because we love MAC.
    But no B2M in Turkey.
    This is not fair :((

    I just depotted 12 shadows and I'm hanging on to them until the 23rd when the Rose Romance collection comes out. Does Back 2 MAC apply to LE collections as well?

    Hey Diva,
    There are conflicting reports on B2M new policy. Did YOU have the pans with the plastic? I have 14 e/s containers 10 other B2M items. I don't plan on turning everything in at once :)

    Awesome!!! I have two empty dazzleglass tubes (Sugarrimmed and Baby Sparks) and I need to B2M them to get a free lipstick/dazzleglass! Money Honey looks gorgeous!!! I'm going to get that dazzleglass sometime!

    haha.. i B2M yesterday too for one e/s! i am impatient and want it now! =P this SA almost didn't accept my containers tho bc she wants me to have the back labels to them still.. wha? i used it for the palettes but i can understand why she said that.. so she marked the front and the back of the e/s case too. =P

    one can't ever have too many pink lipsticks or glosses, i seriously love my dazzleglass in stepping out and glamour od, nothing like a good pink gloss to start the day off. damn 6 empty things? its gonna be a while for me. sigh.

    I love the Glendale Mac store... lol~ They just grab my plastic bag with the containers and toss it in a bin. They don't even count how many I have and if there is a pan... hehe~ Nice haul from back 2 MAC!!! :)

    The back 2 mac that i did last month had a bunch of eyeshadow pots without the pans. I thought too that they would turn me away but I read somewhere that they don't care about the pans just the plastic part. Did u know too that the plastic part of the wipes is also back 2 mac...that is so cool, I go thru a ton of those :D
    Great post, I just might pick up Angel Lipstick, it's sooo pretty!!!

    I'm not sure if it's only me but MAC lipstick dries my lips. It's okey if I wear it for short period of time but if i wear it for like the whole day it really makes my lips dry.I put vaseline before putting on lipstick, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.. Is it just me or you get the same experience as well? =D

    Wow...that dazzleglass looks so cute on your lips...I asked my MA few weeks ago about the B2M and said I didn't have to bring the pan, just the container, will be B2B soon for my dazzleglass!

    I love Angel lipstick. I actually read that Kim Kardashian loves it and tops it with Nars "Turkish Delight" gloss -- and I have to say it is a fabulous combo!

    Love the Angel!! My other fav Mac Lip thats close to that color is Hue.
    Has anyone ever tried to back to mac samples? I have a mascara sample that feels weird to throw away : 0

    Hi! I just found this post through google. Do you know if Chanel has a similar program? I have so many lip gloss containers that aren't even empty. But they're old. I used to religiously wear Chanel, but I love MAC's program and have converted over to them now.
