Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I had lunch with my girlfriend, and then we went to IKEA to look at some storage solutions now that the BF is now a roommate! I got a shirt from Steve & Barry's that says, "I heart Makeup" (I think it's the exact same shirt as Sis Ren's shirt), it was just too cute, TRUE, and above all..$9!
*Also some of you asked me on my last post whether UD (Urban Decay) Eyeshadows are that pigmented, and YES they are! They are super pigmented and easy to put on since they are powdery soft, I actually like them more than MAC eyeshadows because I don't have to use as many swipes to get the color I want.

So now that the BF is a permanent fixture, I had to make way for HIS stuff, and that meant me having to organize all my junk. The way I clean and organize is tearing the place down and then clean and organize it, bad habit rather than doing it one section at a time, but nonetheless it works for me!
So here is my once clean room:
And this is how it looked last night...like a tornado hit me!
So we went to IKEA, and I bought some drawers with nice clear frosted window paneling to store all my accessories, I had to assemble it which was fun (I actually like assembling things, it's like a neat puzzle! LOL)

I was tired! I didn't sleep till 4am! All I know is that the BF better have a newfound love for me....LOL.

ReplyDeleteLove Steve and Barry's - sometimes they have the cutest stuff. I like the Bitten line by Sarah Jessica Parker, but they sell out fast.
Thanks Anonymous! I love Steve & Barry's too, I mean sometimes it's hit and miss since you're right, they DO always sell out fast of the good stuff so I usually end up leaving empty-handed, but I love how cheap the stuff is!

ReplyDeleteTrisha, I think they had S, M, and L, but the sizes run REALLY small, I usually take a S, and got a M, and the M was too small!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous- I bought it 3 years ago so I don't remember where, I bought it directly from the manufacturer in Washington where my parents were moving at the time, and my mom bought furniture from this one place over there and they recommended me to another company and I just paid a lot to have it shipped here to Cali!

I, too, have a strange love for putting together furniture from IKEA. And the bad habit of tearing everything apart in order to organize... I love your new drawers, but I'm especially jealous of your vanity. I wish I had room for one, but I don't, so I have to sit on the floor to do my makeup. It's pretty sad.

ReplyDeleteI really like those drawers. I need to find myself some storage solutions as well. And that's the exact way I clean my room too lol, I completely wipe off my vanity or dresser and throw everything on my bed, then organize it again. It gets overwhelming, but at least it works.

I recently bought the EoB duo brushes... which obviously are double ended. How the hell do I store these? I dont want to store them in a cup like thing with my other ones bcause I will damage one side of the brushes. What should I do?!

I love wearing that shirt with a pinky coral colored wife beater underneath b/c it can be kinda sheer and the coral picks up the pink in the heart :) way to get organized! my organization sprees take a whole night too...b/c once you do one area...it's like you have to do the whole thing...way to go!
ReplyDeleteoh I know the love and pain living with a bf. Though my bf is not fully moved in, he comes down to stay 3-4 days at a time every week or so. It was like pulling teeth when I gave up two drawers and 1/4 of my coat closet to him. poor guy, he's a XXL and all of his shirts are huge, yet with so little space to store them.
ReplyDeletei love having him around though. whenever i get lazy, which is pretty often, he can pick up the slack. laundry, walk the dog in the morning cold, or carrying the grocery, love it. a very useful XXL, =)

ReplyDeleteI love IKEA! I was so pissed when I found out there was none here (of course!) and above all that, they don't ship (bastards!). So Hubbo and I bought all we could and shipped our crap out here. I love having breakfast there sometimes. The other meals not so much, but breakfast is cool and cheap, hah.
