Rmcandlelight asked how to apply eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eyes without making it look messy, and I use Essence of Beauty's double-ended eyeshadow applicators to apply to the small spots such as the inner corner of the eye:
So here's a look I finally did using the Ben Nye Palette:
WITH FLASH:
What I used:
Face:
- Monistat Chafing Gel as primer
- MAC StudioFinish Concealer NC30
- Silk Naturals Mineral Foundation
Cheeks:
- Silk Naturals "Tart Light"
Eyes (ALL from Ben Nye Palette, applied DRY):
- "Sun Yellow" on the inner corners of the eyes
- "Tangerine" applied after Sun Yellow
- Applied "Azalea" on the middle of the lid
- Applied "Amethyst" and "Cosmic Violet" on outer-V and contour
- On lower lashline: "Sun Yellow" (inner corner), "Chartreuse" (middle of lower lashline), "Jade" (outer lashline)
- "Ice" as highlight
- Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner Pencil on upper lashline and waterline
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara
Lips:
- MAC Mattene l/s in "Immodest"
- NYX Lipgloss in "Barbie Pink"

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! :) I just lurve Ben Nye!
ReplyDeleteAwww bunny :)
The baby bun looks adorable! They grow up fast! Just wait until they hit puberty and then you're gonna know for sure if it's a boy or girl. Don't forget to get him/her spayed or neutered otherwise they start acting out!!
ReplyDeleteAnd girl you really know how to work those colors. DAMN. If i attempted that I would look like a parrot exploded on my face... AMAZING.
Klaud.

ReplyDeleteSome bunny loves you! Baby animals are the cutest. Watch out when she gets older... some rabbits like to nibble/bite at ankles (ouch).
ReplyDeleteHi Nessa! I'm really not a fan of rainbow looks, but your version is seriously amazing because it's wearable!! love it. I'm definitely picking up Ben Nye's palette because of this look! Thanks!

ReplyDeletenow I'm dying to own that palette!
and that lipgloss
:)
Hey Vanessa, great take on the rainbow eye! Your blending is superb. How do you choose which blush and which lipstick/gloss to pair with such a colour eye?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this look! I might try it out later!
ReplyDeleteThe tangerine color is hot! verrry nice job... is it just the angle that makes one eye look like it has more yellow further in tho?
ReplyDeleteI love how you pull off these Bright colors. Looking pretty as always Vanessa!
ReplyDeleteHey, if you buy the monistat chafing gel at walmart, do you know which department/aisle would it be in?
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies!
ReplyDeleteHi Brittni- Yeah I tried my best to get the other yellow on the other eye to show up but the other eye came out much more prominent, you can sorta see both in the pic with just the pair of eyes, but it's still hard to see it...
Bonnie- Monistat is obviously originally for feminine needs, so the chafing gel should be where the tampon aisle is located along with the douche's like Summer's Eve, and Yeast Infections...
Nessa, how are you pulling that off? The rainbow colors look BEAUTIFUL on you!
ReplyDeleteAlso, your bunny is adorable :]
this is crazy!! your blending is amazing.... great job!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat look, I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt's not so over the top that it's unwearable either... which is what I usually see when someone wears more than 3 colours of eyeshadow.
Your lips look fab too! I'll have to hunt for that NYX lipgloss... haven't been able to find it yet.
And the little bun-bun is SO cute.
I think it's a girlie too.
Your bunny is so adorable! How big will she grow up to be? And what kind of rabbit is she?
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I love the green shades on the bottom!
ReplyDeleteThe bunny is still so small!
Ooooh, that look is smokin hot! I could never blend colours like you do!
ReplyDeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know how often and how do you wash your applicators and brushes?
I just fell in love with your blog, so if you didn't already have a Finnish reader now you have! :)

ReplyDeleteCan you do a look with Chrome Yellow (MAC)and black.
Any dazzle glass comments?
Hi AB! Yes I have falsies on, I am not sure what type they are, but I know they are Ardell's.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely do a look soon using yellow and black.
If you type in the search box on my site "Dazzleglass" you will find my review and swatches on it. :)
that is beautiful. i know you use model in a bottle to set your makeup, but in this coming heat do you think that the colors will remain unspoiled?
