Beauty Question: Products you regret buying?

What are some of the makeup, beauty, and/or skincare products you have REGRETTED buying and why? (Could be one or more)

For me, I would have to say the MAC Pro Longwear Lipglosses, now don't get me wrong, I actually like these, I just rarely use them. I hardly go out anywhere to where I need my lipstick to last me all night, and on top of that I hate the drying feeling sometimes of ALL longwear lipsticks and glosses of ANY brand, including drugstore or high-end brands. And I pretty much use everything I have bought since I started this blog (at least I try to!), but the MAC Pro Longwear's id have to say are the ones that have been gathering dust sitting there staring at me everyday asking me when they can come out and play. Hmmm, maybe soon...

  3. mac mineralise skin finish in medium, i thought this was a powder to set foundation or to wear alone but no matter how I buff it or blot it or phloof it on it still looks very powdery and enhances lines and pores. I get on much better with the blot powder.

  7. Clean & Clear Soft Oil Free Moisturizer.....I say this because this product has my skin itching like crazy as I type. From me scratching my face, I have two small spots on each cheek that look like rashes. I am highly upset. :n: I want my face to heal asap.

  8. I buy lipsticks but I don't wear lipsticks... or at least not often... They just sit there and go through processes of reorganization and rarely get used. crazy me:k:

  9. Mac strobe cream. i actually got it pretty recently and I thought I liked it when I just started using, but I just realized it makes my oily skin look even more oily and greasy. I think it's a good product though, just not for oily skin.

  10. makeup: The MAC Fafi Collection with the exception of the makeup bag and Hipness blush. Most of what I bought I either sold or swapped away. And the stuff that I still have are the sad stragglers that no one wanted. Sad face!

skincare: the Juice Beauty line! I wanted to get into more natural skincare so I bought the line for oily skin. Juice Beauty did NOTHING for me. I think the only product I was somewhat satisfied with was the Green Apple Peel which still wasn't very amazing. Sad face yet again!

Oh and I'm right there with you about the pro longwears! I bought quite a few during the Lustre Twin launch and now they're just sitting pretty in my makeup drawer!

  11. Like someone previously posted, I regret buying makeup from ELF cosmetics. I just HAD to find out how bad it was for myself... everything was sticky, smelly, and pretty much gross. Plus, super slow shipping, missing items, and bad customer service. Atleast it only cost me 8 bucks :P

  12. That drying feeling is the main reason I stay away from those lip products too. No matter how much of that clear top coat or gloss you put on, it still manages to stay really dry underneath.

  14. I regret buying all my piggies... i love the colors but i'm not using any of them. everytime i need color for my eyes, i always reach for the ready-pressed shadows and such. boooo.

  15. Someone recommended elf's mineral line, but after I bought it and used it, I looked orangey. Of course, in my house I looked fine. When I walked outside and checked my face in my car mirror, I looked gross.

  19. I regret purchasing the ELF brushes because I thought they were going to be really good brushes but I was wrong! I also regret buying the Pink Platinum Metal-X Shadows from the Metal Urge collection and thought it would be a good base for my eyeshadows but I only used it like 3 or 4 times. Maybe I'll try again with it soon.

  23. Oh-so-many things lol :( Rimmel products, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish foundation in the wrong color, BeneFit Cosmetics' "Some Kind-a Gorgeous" (totally useless), etc, etc, etc.

But I most regret buying Urban Decay's Mildew shadow- the name should have turned me off right there, but I'm the World's Biggest UD Fangirl, so I made the splurge- I thought it might be along the lines of MAC's Humid es. $16 later, I have a huge pan of unused, too-warm, too-yellow, superfrosted mud green shadow. :i:

    That was therapeutic :)

  24. Definitely the MAC C-Shock shadows... Bang on Blue is the worst shadow of my entire collection, Eyepoppin makes me look jaundiced, Rompin doesn't give me good payoff, and I haven't been successful at using Going Bananas or the orange one on my eyes

  25. Skincare=Dermadoctor Ain't misbehavin blackhead treatment not only cost something like 40$ for this tiny bottle, but it reeks and does absolutely nothing. I used it for a month, morning and night and I saw no change. I should've known better when the lady at Sephora said "oh it removes them permanently. I use it on my problem spots all the time when they come back..." Yeah, that didn't add up.

Beauty=Too Faced lash injection mascara was overpriced for what it does. I don't get the big deal, plus I found the tube dried out and got clumpy far faster than any of my cheaper tubes of mascara.
And Urban Decay's Primer Potion isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'm still looking for another eyeshadow primer that can last for more than a couple hours. I can't wear dark eyeshadows with this for more than maybe 1 or 2 hours before it smears. :i:
