FOTD- Soft Greyish Black, yet Natural Look

.

I wanted to try a soft grey/black look that would bring out the eyes yet not as overpowering as a smokey look. I still wanted to keep a natural, fresh-face look. Many of you asked what my Silk Naturals Ratio is, I honestly don't use that formula, I just pour all of the white powder in the jar and start testing from there by adding about 3 or 4 scoops of the Warm Gold.

What I used:

Face:

- Pure Naturals Green Tea Moisturizer
- Laura Geller Spackle Face Primer
- Silk Naturals Mineral Foundation

Cheeks:

- Milani Blush in "Luminous" (similar to NARS "orgasm" blush)
- MAC Beauty Powder in "Drizzlegold" as highlight.

Eyes:
- MAC Paint Pot in "Painterly"
- Everyday Minerals eyeshadow in "Bundle Up" (all over the lid)
- MAC eyeshadow in "Vex" (all over the lid)
- MAC eyeshadow in "Knight Divine" (outer-V and contour)
- Milani eyeshadow in "Storm" (outer-V and contour)
- MAC eyeshadow in "Carbon" (outer-v)
- Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner Pencil in "Blackest Black"
- Laura Mercier Mascara

Lips:
- Rosebud's Strawberry Lip Balm
- MAC Lipstick in "Snob"
- Sally Hansen Diamond Lipgloss in "Champagne Toast"

Funky face time!

Product Review: Sephora Pop-Up Brush Set

.

Price: 4 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Overall: 5 out of 5

We ended up staying at Jon's friend's house and he has internet connection! Woohoo! I was going to post yesterday but I was too busy with that damn addicting video roulette. I am not quite ready to play the real table roulette just yet. :)

I know many of you ladies have asked me to post a review on the Sephora pop-up brush set I recently hauled, so here it is! I LOVE it! When I first saw it in the Sephora holiday catalog, I said "Oh what a neat idea", then I looked at the price and was like "$45 for a brush holder!!?" Then I actually read the description and it comes with brushes too! So that seemed more realistic and reasonable!

What I love about it: It's perfect for my 'extra' brushes that no longer fit in my brush roll. It's great for traveling and it's very organized. I was worried the brushes would get somewhat 'caught' when you try to push it down to where you would have to push the brushes in yourself and THEN close it, but not at all with this brush holder. You literally pull it up to see and grab all your brushes, and push it down when you are done- that's it. Even if you were to flip it upside down, it doesn't open causing all your precious brushes to spill out. I also love the case/holder itself. I bought the ivory/croc looking one and I love how sturdy it seems and the classy look it gives. It comes in chocolate brown as well and its just as pretty! The brushes that came with it were: a powder brush (which I used as a blush brush), an eyebrow brush (love it), a fluffy eyeshadow brush, a smudge brush (perfect for the outer-V and contouring), and a lip brush.

What I didn't love about it:
Nothing really, the entire thing is just lovely! I really love mine, however I wish it was a bit roomier for more of the bigger brushes, but then again, I have A LOT of brushes, so maybe it IS roomy, I just have too many damn brushes. LOL.

Happy Thanksgiving Haul!

.

I wanna wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all are enjoying time with family, Jon and I didn't see my parents this year for Thanksgiving because airfare is expensive, but they are coming to visit us around Christmas so it's all good! Also I forgot to add I have "Cool Pink" (matte) pigment available for samples as well.

MadMinerals.Org is having a 25% OFF SALE!

***I'll be heading to Vegas again later tonight, so most likely I will NOT have internet connection. :( My BF's dad lives over there so we are heading back there again! Hopefully see more celebs haha. I should be back on Sunday.

I also bought more Violet and Teal Pigments for sampling...and caved and bought another 187 brush.

Yesterday was the release of the MAC Finery bags and the Metal-X Collection, so here is haul as well as my initial observations. I also got my Sephora Pop-Up Brushes!

The MAC Finery Bag:
I bought the finery bag in "Plum Lips", I am not too sure about this one yet, I am not really a fan of "glazes" and "frost" lipsticks, as I found the two lipsticks to be a bit too sheer for me(Culture Class and Ultra Madame). The 'Contessa' lipglass was pretty. I might just end up exchanging it for the Pink Lips. But the packaging is ultra gorgeous!

The Metal-X Collection:
I LOVE this collection. I was expecting this collection to be super creamy and almost the same consistency of a mousse, but it's creamy at first but finishes to a powder so it's not sliding off anywhere. I have yet to do a look with any of the colors from this collection, but it does look promising. I ended up purchasing: Pure Ore (gorgeous gold color), gold spice (reminds me of the moonbathe collection), 6th sin (pretty deep emerald green to go perfect with the emerald green pigment), and Cyber (silver). I wanted Virgin Silver, but the MA got me the wrong one, and I ended up liking it. The boyfriend said "I know you're gonna end up getting all the colors anyway, so just keep it". HAHHAHHAA.

FOTD: Rainbow Eyes (C-Shock Dupe)

.

I LOVE the LA Colors eyeshadow palette! For you ladies who missed the C-Shock Collection from MAC (like I did) which featured bright eye-popping colors, this palette is a great dupe of it, and of course at a great price! It is available on CherryCulture.com, the palette is called "Pixi", although the label on mine said "Tease".

Swatches:

Here is the look I did using ONLY the colors in this palette. As you can see, the color payoff (pigmentation) is awesome, comes out vibrant in just one swipe. I did NOT use a base or primer, this is just straight on my eyelid.

NO EYELINER:

For the lips, I used NYX Lipgloss in "Barbie Pink":

Excuse the un-groomed eyebrows, I did this look at the end of the day...so I was already worn out haha...

I received the jars yesterday, however it's already all gone! I can't believe I had so many orders lined up and so I ordered more! So Jennifer, Erica and Susie, your orders will be shipped out tomorrow.
***For you ladies interested in purchasing some pigment samples, PLEASE email me (email addy is above) with your first and last name, the colors you want, and your address. I have to take private orders to gauge how many jars I will need, as well as if I need to re-stock on pigments. Again, the colors I have are: Teal, Violet, Golden Lemon, Emerald Green, Your Ladyship, Gold Stroke, Cool Pink, Pinked Mauve, Fuchsia, Vanilla, Sweet Sienna. It's on a first come, first serve basis, once I get them all in, I can then see what is still available. "Sweet Sienna" is a limited edition item and will not be offered for sampling after a certain point. At this time I do not plan on re-purchasing it for sampling. Thanks!

FOTD

I wanted to try a soft natural everyday look just using the pigments, and I just bought "Gold Stroke" and never had a chance to use it, so I paired it with the "Golden Lemon" Pigment and it actually came out really nice (in person anyway), so these pictures don't even do it justice. My co-workers liked it too, so it's definitely going into my "favorite-look" book.

What I used:

Face:

- MAC Beauty Powder in "Drizzlegold" under my Silk Naturals foundation (Warm Gold)
- MAC Sculpting Powder to contour sides of nose

Eyes:

- Physician's Formula Concealer Duo
- MAC Concealer (NC30)
- MAC Pigment in "Golden Lemon" (all over the lid and applied wet)
- MAC Pigment in "Gold Stroke" (outer half of lid, outer-V and contour)
- Prestige Liquid Eyeliner (Bronze Gold)

Cheeks:

- Everyday Minerals "Waffle Cone" Blush
- MAC MSF in "Goldspill"

Lips:

- Rosebud's Strawberry Lip Balm
- Botanics Lipgloss in "Star Anise"

Viva Las Vegas!

.

Sorry gals, I haven't posted this weekend, spur of the moment, the BF decided that we should go to Vegas Friday night, and I figured ok i'll just post when I get there, then I find out there is NO INTERNET CONNECTION! So that wasn't fun...hence I could not post at all this weekend. :(

However! I did go to the MAC PRO store Las Vegas, I think I am going to make it a tradition in my travel adventures to hit up every MAC PRO store in each city I go to.

I picked up more MAC Pigments: Cool Pink, Emerald Green, and Your Ladyship! I know last time I went to the Pro store in NY, I didn't think Emerald Green was the green I was looking for because it looked too light, but then when I swatched it in Vegas, it was a lot more beautiful than it was in NY! Deep green with lots of shimmer! Your Ladyship is sold out in the MAC stores near where I live so I am really glad they had it! It's a gorgeous creamy beige with shimmer, almost looks like a light gold at certain angles. Almost like "Provence" pigment, just lighter and more shimmery. Cool Pink is really pretty, I just have to figure how to use it right because it's matte and sometimes it comes out light pink and other times it's almost a lavender/purple. We'll see....

Close-up of the 3:

We went to Planet Hollywood and they had BET's Celebrity Poker and we saw Nelly, Kat Williams, Mekhi Phifer, Eddie Griffin, Orlando Jones (7up commercial guy), and a bunch of other comedic celebs whose names I forgot. I was so star struck when I saw Nelly, he was blinged out! And they were all seriously so nice talking to everyone in the crowd. I brought my crappy camera which is why the pics came out blurry. :(

How a million dollars looks like!

We were walking back to the car when we saw DMC! He was super nice!

My BF then won me a zebra! My favorite animal! I named him Ziggy of course. :)

Meet ZIGGY.

Ziggy and Daddy:

My FOTD, using the Drizzlegold Beauty Powder under my mineral foundation, I love it! Gives a nice glow!
