CherryCulture Haul & Nocturnelle FOTD/Tutorial (look from video)

.

**WHAT!? Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant, at 16!! Babies having babies! I don't understand why some people just can't keep their legs closed, you would think Lynn Spears would tighten the reigns after Britney, but noooooooo, or as my co-worker Mike said, "You can take the Spears'out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park outta the Spears". LOL

I received my CherryCulture.com haul today! I am enamored by their Princessa lipsticks so I ended up ordering more colors, as well as a glitter eyeliner, another LA Colors eyeshadow palette (I am in love with these things), NYX Chrome Eyeshadow in "Penny" which is STUNNING, and an NYX Eyeshadow Trio (blues). My favorite Princess lipsticks are the "Dazzling Pearl" (review soon!) and "Dazzling Ginger". I am selling some of these to you ladies who don't have access to these products or anyone that is just interested in general. I am preparing for my NEXT MAKEUP SALE! I am awaiting a few more packages to arrive in the mail and there's gonna be TONS of cool stuff you can get your hands on! But below is a SNEAK PEAK!

L to R: Pink Diamonds, Dazzling Gold, Dusty Rose

Swatches of the Princessa lipsticks (BRAND NEW FOR SALE, $5 including shipping):

LA Colors Eyeshadow Palette in "Girls Night Out"

Swatches:

For sale, BRAND NEW hard to find C-Shock Eyeshadows, "Big T" and "Romping", $20 EACH including shipping and packaging (sent with tracking/priority mail).

And an eye I did using C-Shock eyeshadows in "Eyepopping" and "Wondergrass", I love these eyeshadows, they are so pretty and vibrant, definitely right up my alley! I didn't put eyeliner or mascara or anything, I just wanted to play with them and see how they'd look...I love 'em!

A reader asked about my makeup in one of my recent videos, so here is a quick tutorial, it was actually very easy as I really only used "Beautiful Iris" and "Nocturnelle"...

My 4th palette (mostly purples), for this look all you need is "Nocturnelle" and "Beautiful Iris":

STEP 1: Apply your UDPP or base eyeshadow/primer, paint pot, whichever you use...

"Beautiful Iris" dupe is NYX Eyeshadow in "Frosted Lilac"

STEP 3:
Then take "Nocturnelle" (DUPE is probably NYX eyeshadow in "Beauty Queen") and apply it to the outer half of your lid as shown and contour your eye as well

Your eye should look like the eye on your left, see the difference between the other eye without nocturnelle?

STEP 4: Highlight and line!

Designer Sample Sale & More Shopping!

.

Thanks to all of you ladies and your sweet, kind compliments on my last post. I liked the way the overall look turned out given that I didn't prepare myself in terms of having a look already in mind, what accessories to wear, etc. I seriously just did something spur of the moment and just went with it. I had a lot of fun, and yeah the BF wanted to match...shocker right!??? He picked the tie himself like a big boy! If only I had the patience to really fix myself everyday....LOL. Someone asked if I could do a tutorial on the holiday look I just did, so when I get a chance i'll do that one as well, just haven't had time to really sit and do a video tutorial on any of the FOTD's i've done.

My co-worker Maricel invited me to attend a designer sample sale at the California Marketplace where a lot of top designers work, and they create gorgeous pieces and then sell them at such a low price to get rid of them since they are basically extras in that line.

So I bought this Velvet Torch dress, which is regularly close to $70, for $20! I already have a FOTD in mind for this dress with all the beautiful colors on it. I also bought the cutest skinny jeans (not pictured), but they are awesome when paired with boots.

And then I saw these adorable flats!

Found the perfect yellow shoes...

Some lipglosses from Ten Beauty (don't ask me where to get Ten Beauty I honestly am trying to find out myself, I know they have some products at select stores like Target and believe it or not the 99cents store, but a rare find indeed. I just see this brand in random spots but I am loving this brand!)

This weird air freshener that has scented pearls, it's so strange yet cool at the same time haha

And an early Christmas present from Santa, eyeshadows from the C-Shock Collection, I like "eyepopping" and "wondergrass". I might be selling the other two because I have similar colors already, so if you are interested holla at your girl haha.

My parents are arriving tonight from Washington! I am sooOooo excited to see them and my sisters. I really love the holidays and I am just so happy to spend it with my fam bam. I think i'll take advantage of my sisters while they are here and just do makeovers on em, yeah sounds like a plan.....

Nixie Palette & How I Hate Christmas Shopping!

.

**Blogger is doing some changes so the banner is a bit off centered and screwed up, but i'll fix it later....

I love my friends and family, I really do. I just hate shopping for them! It's the same conversation every year:

Me:
What do you want for Christmas this year?
Them: "Oh Nothing", "You don't have to get me anything", OR "I want ________" (which turns out to be something way out of my budget!)

Ugh. Nothing is more frustrating then trying to figure out what to get people. I know that's probably the "fun" part, but I just don't have the time to really sit and dwell on what to get for certain people. I find it a lot easier if they at least tell me what they like or want, or even a store they like or what they enjoy doing. At least it points me to some sort of a direction where to go...and most of all, I know they'll love it.

I usually hate just "giving up" and buying gift cards sometimes because I find it to be impersonal, yet I know that a majority of people don't mind it, but I like the idea of having the person actually open something ya know?

Anyway, my room was a MESS last night, I didn't even attempt to wrap Christmas presents this year, I just bought bags and tissue paper for everyone haha! Then I also had to ship out the things people bought from the sale.

I also got another Nixie Palette to transfer the ULTA eyeshadows in because the LONG palette was too long and since it was cardboard it was a piece of crap and didn't fit in my makeup box so unfortunately I had to split the 12 into a 6 pan palette...

All done!

My company holiday party is tonight so i'll post some pics up later, still don't know what to do with my makeup and all that other jazz as I haven't even had time to think about it. Everything I bought still has the tags on them. Sigh.

And here is Penny Lane, all dressed and ready for the holidays! (Jon's doggy which is now my doggy too haha)

NYX Haul & Me Working Hard haha

.

So this was my haul from today, I recently bought the cutest orange shirt with pockets and I don't own an orange eyeshadow so why not get one?? I bought "Kiwi" and "golden orange", and the lipgloss is "gold pink" although its more of a purple/deep shimmery purple color...I love it! And I bought DARK eyelash glue :)

There is a store downstairs from my work that sells NYX Cosmetics, it would be an almost perfect store if they had more of their products, they just sell the glitters, single and trio eyeshadows, some brushes, falsies, the lip/eye pencils, and blushes, but not the chrome eyeshadows or glitter liners, etc.

Also they jacked up their price about $1 per item but I just look at it like it's a convenience fee. :)

Some of you asked if I plan on buying any of the NYX Premium brushes, I don't know yet, simply because I really have a lot of makeup brushes as it is, but I might just get a couple just to test them out...hmmm oh the temptation!

And here is a pic of me and my co-worker Irina working hard!

Makeup Artist Spotlight: Miss Katie B (Owner of Katie B Cosmetics)

.

It's Nessa on her website!

I wanted to introduce all of you to my very good friend Katie B, she is a gorgeous makeup artist from Orange County (who now resides in Denver, Colorado but frequently travels), and she is seriously a makeup guru! She now does makeup for playboy and hot celebs, and I am so honored to even know this talented lady. She owns and runs her OWN cosmetic line, KatieB Cosmetics check it out: www.katiebco.com which features awesome tips, great skin care products, and of course makeup!

I've had some questions about my makeup in certain photos from my modeling portfolio waaayyyyyyy back in the day, and Katie is the one I pay all the credit to for all of these looks (of course the photographer too, but makeup wise it's Katie!) She is just super sweet and I absolutely love when she works her magic on me when we work together on set.

So if you ladies EVER need your makeup and hair done and wanna look extra hot, then book an appointment with Katie! You will NOT be disappointed!

Here are some old pics of the MIRACLE she has worked on me! I DO NOT look like this everyday (oh how I wish! haha), I usually look like crap since I am super lazy, so it was nice to get pampered by her. She was SO good that her work made it into MAXIM's Hometown Hotties Contest two years in a row! Thanks Katie! :)
