Store and Organize!

.

I know some of you gals have tons of makeup and other stuff like I do, yet have no place to put them all! So in this post, I am going to show and share where I store some of my things as well as some ideas I have used in the past. Above is my vanity where I store most of my things. Enjoy!

- Save shoeboxes the next time you go shoe shopping, they are great for storing photos, bracelets, etc., sometimes I like to wrap nice wrapping paper around it to give it some edge.

- Target, Staples/Office Depot, Wal-Mart, Linens N' Things, are great places to shop for storage, not only do they have such a huge selection, they are affordable too!

- Throw anything you don't need away, that's how mess and trash accumulate, when hermits (such as myself) can't bring themselves to throw ANYTHING away, before you know it, everything is piled up!

-You'll be surprised what you can use to "store" or place things in; for example I used an Office Depot pen holder to put my lipglosses in, a cutlery box to hold my brushes, a bubblegum box to hold my bobby pins....the possibilities are endless!

- If everything is starting to look the same, invest in a label maker machine, it helps me identify between what is what and saves me time trying to find that teal colored eyeshadow or the Painterly paint pot!

See???

I like to keep all my mineral makeup samples in a drawer so it's easy for me to refer to when I need them as oppose to just having it scattered all over the place and they all look the same! Being a product tester means having samples sent almost daily, so as it piles up I need more storage to put them in!

The drawers that house my jewelry and samples which I bought at Wal-Mart for like $3:

I absolutely LOVE and avidly collect accessories! I seriously keep buying more and it just grows! To the left is my bracelet collection which takes up the entire left side, middle drawer of my vanity. It is so jam packed that I can barely close it!

And yes, I actually organize my rings in what I call "bait boxes", I got this box at Staples which has individual square compartments for each of my rings, makes it a lot easier for me to see which ones I want to wear since it's organized AND clear!

Storage of some of my necklaces and other jewelry, LOTS of Forever 21 stuff I have since that was my first job in high school!

In my bathroom where I store all the necessities, Q-Tips, brushes, headbands, etc:

Last drawer in the bathroom for all my curling irons/straighteners/crimpers:

I also use my makeup box to store things and got my name engraved in it too!

Where I store my brushes:

The pen holder I use to store my lipglosses and pencils:

My overnight bag I usually take during traveling:

My Closet...packed with a bunch of stuff, only a tiny spot in that closet is Jon's clothes, lol...

I love interior decorating...

I've been collecting Disney things since forever!

View from my bed, and yup! I have a bathroom in my room which is VERY convenient!

My bed, and yes I love Carebears...it's a childhood thing...

And all the while I am talking about organizing, my desk at work is messy! HAHA

Green Tea Wipes, Prep+Prime, and Earthly Riches

.

I bought these Green Tea Makeup Remover Wipes from this store downstairs from my work, they have a lot of NYX products, but none that tickled my fancy, but what's cool is that they have a lot of the Japanese/Korean beauty products which I love! I love the smell of these wipes, they have Vitamin E (which smoothes and tones the skin), and Aloe. It matches my Purist Green Tea Moisturizer I bought from Sally's. It makes my skin feel so clean!

I also got the Prep+Prime from MAC, I give it 3 out 5 stars. Why? Well one, I didn't really like the packaging, I wish it was a tad bit bigger or same size but comes in the same bottle as the Studio Fix Moisturizer so I can stand it up. Also, compared to my Laura Geller Spackle Face Primer, I didn't enjoy the smell of it too much, although it works remarkably well.

The "Earthly Riches" eyeshadow is so pretty, the purple is a deep shimmery purple, and the dark brown is very earthy indeed, and I love the antique feel it has to it.

This is the eye look I did using some products from the Antiquity Collection, used "Silversmith" eyeshadow all over the lid, and "Sweet Sienna" pigment and "Earthly Riches" on the outer V and contour giving me a natural look. Lined the bottom with "Slate" from Covergirl.

Here is another look I did using "Moon's Reflection" and the new eyeshadow from "Family Silver":

And here is the closed eye version of my Halloween look:

Storage, Charlotte-Russe Minerals, and Dupe of MAC Blush in "Pink Swoon"

.

Note: I forgot to add my mineral sample storage so i'll add that later...

My makeup station is ALWAYS messy, no matter how many times I clean it, it always ends up looking like my place got ransacked! So I went to Target and picked me up a cosmetic organizer from Studio Tools and it holds all my extras.

Here it is after I did some organizing...I love how it holds some of my brushes for easy access!

Also, while I was at Target I came across a Sonia Kushuk blush in "Pink Flamingo" which looks exactly like MAC's Blush in "Pink Swoon"!

Did you gals know that Charlotte-Russe sells their own mineral eyeshadows??? Yup! And they are actually really pretty colors, I just got the neutral stack...

I also bought a baby kabuki brush from Target by Studio Tools, it's surprisingly really soft! They call it a bronzer brush, but I plan on using it for my mineral foundation application.

Another storage idea I came up with is using an empty gum box to put my bobby pins in for easy access and perfect for travel:

SOLD the last Viz-a-Violet Piggy Sample!

.

I sold the last Viz-a-Violet pigment sample to Miss Claudia, so Viz-a-Violet is no longer available, however I will gladly replace it with Violet if you gals want it. It's almost exactly like Viz-a-Violet, except more vivid and about a shade darker. (More purple-y).

Halloween Party Look

.

So I went to a birthday/halloween party last weekend (where I also did makeup on 2 people, hopefully she'll send me the pics), anyway, I didn't buy a costume for it since I had no time, so I just did my makeup to match fairy wings I had. I also used falsies that had tiny gems or rhinestones on them...

Also, Christiana (thanks girl!) found a new mineral make-up site where you can CREATE your custom-blended mineral foundation! I checked it out and it's pretty neat, I think I am going to order some samples and see if it works for me. www.silknaturals.com

What I used:

Eyes:
- Ardell False eyelashes from Sally's w/rhinestones
- Viz-a-Violet and Violet MAC Pigments
- Makeup Forever Purple eyeshadow
- Everyday Minerals eyeshadow in "Bundle" and MMBB "highlights" as the highlight and all over lid color.
- Teal Pigment
- Covergirl eyeshadow (forgot the name, but it's a shimmery teal color)
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara

Cheeks:

- MAC Blush in "Dollymix"
- MAC Tectonic as highlight

Lips:

- MAC "Snob" under "Masque" lipstick
- Sephora #206 pencil
- 3D lipglass (MAC) in "Lightswitch"

Happy Anniversary Bubs!

.

I wanna say Happy Anniversary to the hubby! I don't wanna get mushy, but he is just the sweetest bf ever! We have known each other for 4 years and were friends first. He treats me like a princess and I just love how he accepts me for me, all my weaknesses and strengths- and most of all supports me in everything I do...and above all ladies, he is the one that feeds my makeup addiction by continuously putting money into our account for me to spend, LOL just kidding!

I found this old pic taken when we first started dating, it makes me laugh because the caption of this pic is "SCORE!"
