Product Review: Revlon's Line Fantasy Cream Eyeliner

.

Product:
2 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Overall: 3 out of 5
Would I re-purchase? No
Price: $10, Walgreens

I first introduced this product a few posts ago, and finally tried it a few days ago...I wasn't happy with it. First of all, I have been using MAC Fluidlines, Revlon's Colorstay Eyeliners (both pencil and liquid form), and Indelible Gel Eyeliners from Mad Minerals, and NONE of them are TOO creamy in the sense that it's hard to apply in one motion, nor do they crease like crazy.

Many of you have asked what my favorite eyeliner is and I really don't have one, it really just depends on what I feel like using that day, if I am in a hurry, Revlon's Liquid Eyeliner does the trick and stays on without flaking, I love the smooth and lasting application (as well as how long it lasts for a tiny jar!) of the MAC Fluidlines. The Indelible Gel Eyeliners are a great alternative to the MAC Fluidlines, however they are SUPER tiny and they dry out really fast.

In terms of preventing smudging (another frequently asked question), you can try powdering your lower lashline to absorb oil and then lining your eyes. I like to just line my waterline or line my lower lash line and smudging it on purpose for a soft smokey look. An eyeliner sealant also seals the deal to help make it last longer and prevent a lot of smudging.

I tried applying the Revlon cream eyeliner like you normally would with any cream or gel eyeliner; first with the tiny brush it came with (which also sucked), so then I used my own eyeliner brush and I had to apply it like 5 times to even get an even amount of color because it was streaking across my lashline. It also didn't dry as fast as other gel eyeliners such as the Fluidlines. (I have NOT tried L'Oreal's HIP eyeliners, so I wouldn't know how they compare).

I then tried it with Silk Naturals's Eyeliner Sealant, and it seemed to do the trick and made it stay without creasing.

PROS: Using this with an eyeliner sealant makes it a cream eyeliner you can work with, it's inexpensive and comes in brown, purple, black, and blue. Available at drugstores that carry brand new product collections.

CONS: Creased like crazy for me and I don't have oily eyelids either! Takes a few applications to get an even pigmented line.

Overall: I am so accustomed to how well other eyeliner perform, such as the Fluidlines, Indelible Gel Eyeliners, and even Revlon's other line of eyeliners, their colorstay eyeliner pencils or liquid eyeliners work really well. However, I would not re-purchase this as I would rather just get something else that I don't have to struggle with to stay on or give me a continuous even line of color.

NYX Jumbo Lip Pencils & Swatches...another Vegas trip!

Sorry for the lack of posts, this was probably the longest I haven't posted. The BF and I went on an unexpected trip again to Vegas (spur of the moment from the BF!), and there was no internet connection. :(

My current obsessions are the NYX Jumbo Lip Pencils (think lipstick in a lip pencil form), and the Sally Hansen Line Smoothing Airbrush Makeup Spray (which I will do a review on soon). The NYX Jumbo Lip Pencils are pigmented and creamy, and Cherry Culture has them in a lot of other colors. I also find them easier to apply than lipsticks in the sense that it's like a lip liner too, so you can just trace your lips and fill them in.

My favorites are: Iced Coffee and Soft Fuchsia.

I got my free "Birthday Gift" from Sephora which is like a shimmery bubble bath...

I LOVE the Wheel of Fortune game! I won again on that slot machine! I must say it's probably my overall favorite game there!

BF loves the BUFFET!

Here's another look I did using "Black Ore" and NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Pigment in "Minx":

Since my first batch of foundation samples from Joppa and Fyrinnae didn't work, I ordered again but with different finishes and shades so I can see which one is best, I also got a few baggy samples from Buff'd Cosmetics. I also wanted to try Fyrinnae's Oil Control Powder and Rice Powder Primer so I will see how those work out and of course report my findings to you ladies!

The Fyrinnae foundation, "Sunstone" Super Power Foundation is great for those who need a lot of coverage, however I found it to be just a tad bit too cakey for me, as I don't need too much coverage, so I ordered samples of the same shade and in "Sheen" and "Matte" Finishes to compare (haven't done it yet) as well as their other shade "Ametrine" just in case it's off a bit.

I REALLY like Joppa Minerals, the coverage and lasting power is AMAZING!!!! (For me anyway), and I am just loving the airbrushed look it gives (sorry I haven't taken any pics, i've been bumming it M-F), but i'll do a fotd using their foundation and maybe you can see what im talking about...thanks Nikki and Mhean for suggesting to try Medium #3, Erica (best friend) said she didn't even notice I was wearing foundation! LOL, so I guess it was a perfect match to my skin, and I thought so too. So that just might be my perfect shade.

Frankly, I don't have time to mix my own foundation as much as I used to, so as much as I have enjoyed Silk Naturals because it allowed me to customize my shade as well as give me exceptional coverage, I just want something now that's already ready to go.

I wanna try the other samples I got just in case, and then once I am done and made a decision, I can go ahead and order a full-size of it!

Here are all of the Pure Luxe Eyeshadows I have and swatches! These were APPLIED DRY, NO BASE. Enjoy! (they are in name, open jars, and swatch form), sorry I spelled "Rococo" wrong! I was too lazy to double check! LOL.

Thank you all for the birthday greetings! I really appreciate it! Crazy how time flies! I talked to my dad on the phone and he said he remembers when I was little and now I am grown...awww he sounded a bit sad, but at least he still has my younger sissies!

Geez, I am only gone for a couple days and I have so many people to reply back to! So, bare with me while I try and reply to all of you one by one. Many of you have asked when the site will be up, and I am hoping really soon, everything is pretty much done, it's just taking pictures and putting in the descriptions of the items for my online store, as well as minor tweaks here and there. I want to focus on it but that would mean me not being able to update, and of course I don't want that! So I am trying to do both at the same time! :)

We got back from Vegas late last night and because I had work early today I just went to bed and didn't have time to update. The one thing I hate about a vacation whether it be a week long or a weekend getaway, is coming back and having so much to do- laundry, unpacking, catching up, it's quite tiring.

Vegas was hot! We ate at the Rio Buffet and Sonics. Yum! I was a bit disappointed as I didn't find a lot of stuff at the MAC PRO store (even though they have some products from the older collections such as Alexander McQueen) or from CCO. I just came out of the MAC PRO store with a few eyeshadow refills and a #109 contouring brush.

We stayed at the Silverton Hotel off the strip and it had a HUGE aquarium and a gorgeous mermaid, it was neat!

I won $300 at the Wheel of Fortune slots, not all at once but separately and I only put $15 in the machine! So of course I cashed out and kept it, didn't really shop around this time, which is good since I should just save my money. This trip to Vegas was a lucky one for the BF, since my last post he just kept winning left and right, and I was so happy for him because he spent so much money repairing his car and my present!

My wonderful BF got me the Louis Vuitton purse I wanted for my birthday! And he gave me some shopping money! I really wanted this purse since this post back in February, but just couldn't justify spending $650 for this baby, so I am glad he paid attention and now it's mine! LOL

Meet my first designer purse, the Damier Azur Speedy 30:

The BF still sees dollar signs!

I went back to work and my awesome and creative co-worker Diana was super sweet and made my a candy basket for my sweet tooth with all my favorite candy! You can bet it'll all be gone by tomorrow, LOL.
