IMATS Haul 2011

.

Finally have my IMATS Haul up! I still have TONS of reviews and posts to do, and pics to edit, but I am getting there! Don't worry INGLOT post is next! I didn't haul a lot as you can see, since I pretty much got everything I needed at the Vegas show.

I stocked up on some lashes, and my holy grail Anastasia products because it was 40% off at the show! So instead of paying around $20 each for the Brow Whiz Pencil and the tinted brow gel in Caramel, I paid around $12.50 each! The Inglot booth was packed with people, and just ended up getting a 5 eyeshadow palette at the time because it was my first time trying them out. I also stopped by my favorite brush booth, Bdellium Tools and bought some brushes. The NYX booth at the show was insane, but was able to snag some of their new matte lipsticks (which I love!), I will post swatches soon and comparing them to other lipsticks (such as MAC's "Candy Yum Yum!)

Napoleon Perdis was a major sponsor this year at IMATS and they were so generous and nice to the everyone, their booth was one of the best ones at the show. I received their coral kit that has coral eyeshadows, blushes, and their infamous lip veil, and their lip veil in "Rare Opal" in my press kit and I am just loving coral right now, so it was right up my alley!

One of the highlights of IMATS, was meeting Zena, the creator of the Z Palette! I wish I took a pic with her...she is super sweet and I was so flattered she already knew who I was because she read my previous review on the Zebra Z Palette, and gave me the Pro Z Palette to review (which is sturdier and deeper, of course review coming soon!)

Since I re-organized my Inglot palette and bought new shades, swatches and names of each one will be featured in my Inglot post :)

IBS/IECSC Las Vegas!

.

I know it's been ages since my last post, but i've been traveling and have not had much internet access to upload my pics, so finally I had some time to post up some pics from the industry/professionals only show in Vegas (IBS and IECSC). It was scorching hot in Las Vegas, so it was nice to get out of the sun and walk around and check out all the exhibitors.

I got a bunch of nail polishes from OPI and Orly, a TON of headbands (I will do a separate post later), some blushes and pencils from Modern Beauty, a fascinator-esque headband, some rings, and brushes from bdelliumtools.com, where I also won a brush kit! I absolutely LOVE their brushes, they don't shed as much as other brushes (if at all), and the people that work there are so friendly and amazing! I got some of their brushes a year ago at IMATS, and I loved it, so I made sure to stock up!

I also visited the INGLOTS store at the Forums Shops, but didn't buy anything then since I already spent a lot at the show, but it was nice seeing the store in person. (I ended up buying an Inglots palette at IMATS! LOL)

I will be doing a video and a more in-depth post of the products I got soon, but for now, here are some pics!

Rings for $1!

Makeup Show LA Recap (Pic Heavy)

.

Yay! Finally my pictures from last weekend's makeup show! In case you missed it, read the blogger preview post.

The objective of the Makeup Show LA of course was the Blogger Forum which was amazing because I saw a lot of familiar faces in the crowd (other gorgeous beauty bloggers!), and it was fun to talk to the audience about blogging in general.

I met so many familiar faces and like I said before, it was a great experience to finally meet my "virtual friends" who have become like sisters to me. On the blogger forum: Elke, Robyn from Purely Cosmetics, and Felicia from Thisthatbeauty.com.

Of course in addition to the wonderful gals I met at the Blogger Preview, I also saw Anne of Yummiebitez.com, reader Ingrid, the flawless Seymone, and Audrey from Fabuless Beauty; as well as many other fabulous ladies! We also saw Ongina from RuPaul's Dragrace!

Anyway, I will let the pictures speak for themselves and discuss each company as I go along(some pics are clickable to enlarge)...here are a couple videos of celebrity MUA James Vincent at the Crown Brush booth telling us what his favorite brushes are!

First, let's start of with getting READY for the show, stylist Tatiana came over and did our hair (Erica and myself), she is AWESOME with cut, color, and updo's and is in the LA area, so if you are interested in her services, let me know!

Powderpuff Beauty is an awesome company that allows you to create your own custom palette, you choose the colors and ta-da! Here are the lovely owners:

Eve Pearl's Cosmetic Line:

At Eve Pearl's Seminar at the show, she covered false eyelash application techniques, how-to's, etc. I highly recommend that you visit her Makeup Experience Studio & Boutique if you are ever in New York! She knows her stuff!

Her seminar was packed with bodies!

This is ALL body paint and glitter!

Freaky huh!?

Shoes are cute...but not with that thing!

So what did I haul? Parian Spirit Brush Cleaner Kit for only $20! Comes with the cleaner jar, brush wipes, brush cleaner spray, and a huge bottle of brush cleaner, (yes once I use these items I WILL do a review!), Makeup Forever Concealer Palette #1 (since it was a nice 40% off at the show!), and some Crown Brushes of course! See I was good!

Parian Spirit Demo:

I don't know the exact style number of these brushes, but I am sure you can tell what kind of brushes they are... :) (Click to enlarge)
