FOTD: Purple look using "Quite Cute" lipstick

.

I did a look using Aromaleigh eyeshadow in "Penelope" (the owner has closed her site/business so it's no longer available *sad face*), I used the dark purples in the "Lust" Wet N Wild Palette (the darkest matte color and the darkest shimmer color), and a little bit of MAC "Grape" pigment (Pro color). On my lips I used MAC's "Quite Cute" lipstick. I also used the false eyelashes I received from Devu Cosmetics.

What I used:
[Face]
- Ben Nye Concealer Wheel
- MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC30
- MAC Pro Longwear Foundation in NC35 mixed with a dab of MAC Studio Fix in NW35
- Graftobian HD Powder in "Soft Ivory" to set

[Cheeks]
- MAC Blush in "True Romantic"

[Eyes]
- Aromaleigh loose mineral e/s in "Penelope" applied wet on lid
- Wet N Wild Palette (dark purples) on outer-V and crease
- MAC "Grape" pigment on outer corners
- Light white color in the Lust palette as highlight
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara
- Devu Lashes
- Anastasia Brow Pencil in "Medium Ash"
- UD Eyeliner in "Rockstar" on lower lashline

[Lips]
- MAC "Quite Cute" lipstick (LE)

Graffitifacecosmetics.com Review

.

Amber from Graffiti Face Cosmetics is super sweet and kind enough to send me a loose mineral eyeshadow in "Grape Haze" for a review. They are a fairly new company, and I always love bringing these kind of companies out of the shadows because they have so much to offer. Graffiti Face Cosmetics currently is only making eyeshadows but eventually will move into making blush, lipstick, lipgloss, mascara, eyeliner, and foundation. Each of their loose mineral eyeshadows are $4 each, for 1.8 grams. When I received it, it was wrapped in cute zebra tissue paper! Zebras are my favorite animal. :)

I love that they really spent time on their packaging, I can't tell you how many times I have ordered from mineral makeup companies only to have it arrive with half the contents in the mailer...I like that these have a shrink wrapped seal and a sifter label to ensure nothing spills during shipping.

I highly recommend using any mineral eyeshadows 'wet' (aka foiling) or with a mixing medium to ensure that it stays on (like all loose mineral eyeshadows, they tend to have a lot of fallout). Applying them wet or with a mixing medium also enhances the pigmentation making the color more vibrant. Also use an eyeshadow base to ensure that it will have long lasting wear and you want to pat the eyeshadow on your eye to maintain coverage and just build from there. "Grape Haze" was pretty light when applied dry, but applied wet it was a gorgeous shade of purple!

Overall, definitely check their website out, since they do not have a lot of products at the moment (but will be launching a few lipglosses next month!) it may be too premature to gauge their products/site in its entirety, but they have a lot of potential and a few eyeshadow colors to keep us busy in the meantime!

Used MAC e/s in "Nocturnelle" and "Shadowy lady" in crease and contour

Halloween Part II

.

Hello my loves! Hope you all had a great Halloween! Yesterday was my best friend's Halloween party and she is literally obsessed with Halloween! She goes all out every year and usually I am reluctant to dress up since costumes are so expensive these days, and you only end up wearing it for a day, but this year I wanted to actually dress up for her party instead of always "putting something together". So I chose to be a Sheriff!

BTW, some of you asked who won the costume contest at work and the panda won 1st place, followed by Antoine Dodson, and Wilma from the Flinstones. Also, for those of you that do not have blogger, or any other means I can contact you but took the time to leave a comment, I just want to say thank you for your kind words! It means a great deal and I am happy to be blogging again. :)

I decided to go with a purple smokey eye look:

FOTD: A Rose Romance-esque Look

.

I tweaked the "A Rose Romance" look and made it more me by making it a little more vibrant, but also using the same key colors: pink, purple, and blue.

Just a quick run-down on what I used:

[Face]
- MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base
- MAC Studio Tech Foundation in NC35

[Cheeks]
- MAC Beauty Powder in "Blush of Youth"

[Eyes]
- Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer
- MAC e/s in "Trophy Pink" from the Antiquitease Holiday Cool Palette on lid
- Lime Crime e/s in "Empress" on contour
- MAC e/s in "Ricepaper" as highlight
- Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara
- MAC pigment in "Mutiny" and UD Eye Pencil in "Electric" on lower lashline

[Lips]
- MAC "Magnetique" lipglass

I also did a little Hawaii shopping and ordered a few things online for my trip; even though it's in August, so many good deals are going on right now I just couldn't pass 'em up! So I bought a few swimsuits, since I am gonna be there for nearly 2 weeks, and I also bought some water shoes because last time my sister and I went to Hawaii we cut our feet from the coral and the jagged rocks when we went snorkeling, and since I plan on getting "rugged" this time, I thought id get a pair of water shoes, and they are actually pretty cool as they have "drain holes" at the bottom for the water, and it's made out of the wet suit material so it dries fast. No walking around with mushy, wet, squeaky shoes!

Swimsuit from Target, I don't like it as a bandeau, but it comes with a strap so you can make it into a halter....you can bet im hitting the gym hardcore now to fit in it! LOL.

And y'all know I LOVE Twilight, so I thought this was funny:

Oh how I wish this was true! LOL

Sugarsweet FOTD & Tutorial

.

So I decided to do a "Sugarsweet" FOTD using of course some of the Sugarsweet goodies I got. I used "Stars N' Rockets" and "Dear Cupcake" eye shadow and "Saint Germain" lipstick. I also used "Refined" MSF with NYX Blush in "Pinky" on my cheeks. For some reason it didn't come out as bright when I uploaded it on here, but it's a lot more vivid and brighter in person, I am a bit upset it didn't show its true color... :(

And notice how my teeth are whiter??? Thanks to the Crest Advanced Seal Whitening Strips!

What I used:
[Face]

- Korres Yogurt Moisturizer
- YSL Skin Radiance Primer
- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC30
- Buff'd Mineral Foundation "Chamois" and "Almond"

[Cheeks]
- NYX Blush in "Pinky"
- MAC MSF in "Refined" (LE)

[Eyes]
- MAC Paint Pot (PP) in "Fresco Rose" on lower half of the lid
- MAC "Stars N' Rockets" e/s on top of Fresco Rose
- MAC "Dear Cupcake" e/s on inner corner of the lid
- MUFE #92 eyeshadow (bright purple) on outer-V
- MAC "Top Hat" e/s (LE, from the "Starflash" collection) & MAC e/s in "Parfait
Armour" on contour
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara
- Ardell Falsies in #102
- Urban Decay Eyeliner in "Graffiti" on lower lashline

[Lips]
- MAC lipstick in "Saint Germain" (LE)
- MAC lipglass in "Starlet Kiss" (LE, from Heatherette collection)

And look what I bought today! That's right! Oh and you know I got the DVD too! LOL
