So last Sunday I had a birthday dinner with a few friends and finally did a look! My co-worker Irina also got me the BEST CAKE ever....an ice cream cake with RPattz (aka Edward Cullen) on it that read "Happy Birthday Mrs. Cullen", I squealed and was the happiest person on earth, LOL. FOTD: A Rose Romance-esque Look
Labels: LOOKS: PINK, LOOKS: PURPLE
I tweaked the "A Rose Romance" look and made it more me by making it a little more vibrant, but also using the same key colors: pink, purple, and blue.
Just a quick run-down on what I used:
[Face]

- MAC Studio Tech Foundation in NC35
[Cheeks]

[Eyes]

I also did a little Hawaii shopping and ordered a few things online for my trip; even though it's in August, so many good deals are going on right now I just couldn't pass 'em up! So I bought a few swimsuits, since I am gonna be there for nearly 2 weeks, and I also bought some water shoes because last time my sister and I went to Hawaii we cut our feet from the coral and the jagged rocks when we went snorkeling, and since I plan on getting "rugged" this time, I thought id get a pair of water shoes, and they are actually pretty cool as they have "drain holes" at the bottom for the water, and it's made out of the wet suit material so it dries fast. No walking around with mushy, wet, squeaky shoes!
Swimsuit from Target, I don't like it as a bandeau, but it comes with a strap so you can make it into a halter....you can bet im hitting the gym hardcore now to fit in it! LOL.

Video & Pink and Purple FOTD
Labels: LOOKS: PINK, LOOKS: PURPLE, Tutorials, Videos
Jess requested a tutorial on how I apply my blush for a more natural and softer look, so I did a quick video on it since it's probably easier to get my point across instead of pictures. ***For reference, I am not a fan of doing videos, I get too nervous and end up sounding like a complete putz, LOL. So be easy on me haha. And yes that is an Island Pacific box behind me that my grandma gave me to help me pack some stuff (as the BF and I are preparing to get our own digs so im starting to pack up the junk I am not using now). It's just hilarious it's there in the background, gotta love grandma. :)
I will be posting all my videos on Vimeo from now on simply because the quality of the video is phenomenal, and there are zero haters on Vimeo which I love. It's $60 bucks a year for the premium service which is well worth it to me if that means cutting out the immature people and the many content-stealing on YouTube and having awesome quality videos. I may still add it also on YouTube for my subscribers, but for now I will be posting on Vimeo solely.
Also, for those of you who asked about the Cosme Land store, it looks like it is Ohayo minus most of the houseware stuff, so it's mostly and mainly beauty products that were in Ohayo, including the beloved Mandom makeup remover! :)
Here are a few "work-friendly" pics to illustrate the tutorial, I also used the stippling brush from PurelyCosmetics.com:
And this is just another pink & purple FOTD, I have done a very similar look before but I made it more vibrant by using MakeUp For Ever's bright pink eyeshadow #9 and MAC lipstick in "Lavender Whip".
What I used:
[Face]
- Purely Cosmetics Oil Absorb Powder & Silk Primer Powder (review coming soon!)
- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC30
- Purely Cosmetics Mineral Foundation in "Olive Beige"
[Cheeks}
- NYX Blush in "Pinky"
[Eyes]
- MAC paint pot in "Girl Friendly" as base
- MAC e/s in "Romping"(on top of PP)
- MUFE e/s #9 (over romping)
- MAC e/s in "Nocturnelle" and "Satellite Dreams" on outer-V and contour
- MAC e/s in "Shadowy Lady" on outer-v
- MAC e/s in "Ricepaper" as highlight
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- Ardell falsies (forgot the #)
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara
- Urban Decay eye pencil in "Lust" on lower lashline
[Lips]
- MAC l/s in "Lavender Whip"
- MAC Dazzleglass in "Funtabulous"

Another Valentine's Day Look & Other Ideas
Labels: LOOKS: PINKWhat are your plans for V-Day???
So I did another look for V-Day using MAC's "Bright Fuchsia" pigment (suggested dupe Ben Nye "Azalea" eyeshadow) and Pure Luxe's "Black Cat" (matte black, suggested dupe MAC "Carbon" e/s). I also dug out my "Show Orchid" lipstick (PRO) to help make this look pop (I absolutely love this lipstick even though I can't wear it everyday!)
I also used my Studio Sculpt Foundation again THIS TIME with a smidge of translucent finishing powder from Ellana Minerals (I got as a gift from Shen!) on top of it so it doesn't look too shiny and absorbs oil, it actually came out A LOT better don't ya think???!
These pics don't even show how it looks in person, the pink is a lot brighter, but for some reason they look a bit washed out compared to how it really looks on my camera, but nonetheless- it's PINK! BTW, the SCARF is from Forever21 in case you are wondering... :)
Lowered the flash so you can see the colors more...
What I used:
[Face]
- Studio Sculpt Foundation in NW25
- Ellana Minerals Translucent Finishing Powder in "espresso con panna"
- MAC "Strada" (matte blush) to contour
[Cheeks]
- NYX Blush in "Pinky"
[Eyes]
- Art Deco Eyeshadow Primer
- MAC Pigment in "Bright Fuchsia" (PRO) on lower half of the lid, applied wet with a sponge tip applicator
- Pure Luxe's "Black Cat" on outer-V and contour using MAC #226 brush
- MAC e/s in "Shroom" and "Mylar" as highlight
- MAC e/s in "Modern Heir" (light purple color) applied lightly on 3/4 of the lid near outer-V
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Black
- Ardell Demi False Eyelashes in #102
- Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in "Rockstar" on lower lashline
[Lips]
- MAC l/s in "Show Orchid"
- MAC l/g in "Flashmode"

Sort of a Valentine's Day FOTD...
Labels: LOOKS: PINK***Edit***: To the "MAC Artist" that said that putting to much powder will "defeat the purpose" of the Studio Sculpt Foundation, it's not to put A LOT of powder over the foundation it's to dab a bit of the powder to minimize the shine. There is also transparent (clear) powder that mineral companies make to avoid the "cakey" look of applying a powder over a liquid foundation. Everyone has a different way of doing things that works for them, and if you actually read my previous post, I have DRY skin, so if this foundation looks like that on someone with DRY skin, I can't imagine how it would look on someone with oily skin, hence in my previous post I said I would NOT re-purchase this because this particular product didn't "wow" me. I would rather stick with mineral foundation and avoid having to look shiny in the middle of the day. Also there's no animosity, I am just saying that there's several ways people can approach it. There's no way for me to contact you so I had to make a post, feel free to email me instead if you'd like.
Here's an impromptu Valentine's Day look I did last Friday (a.k.a. using-my-new-Studio-Sculpt-Products look), like I mentioned before I haven't been doing any FOTD's since I've been sporting tinted moisturizer and mascara the past week trying to give my skin a rest and bring it back to it's supple state, lol.
I used the new Studio Sculpt Foundation (NW25) and Concealer (NC30). As you can see, the foundation alone, makes me look a tad bit shiny, therefore I highly suggest using a setting or a finishing powder to mattify it. Also, the Studio Sculpt Foundation runs lighter than your normal shade, it looks ok in person, but the flash picks up the titanium dioxide which causes the "ghost effect" in pictures where your face appears lighter than your neck, so be sure to go a shade or two darker to solve that problem. My left eye is missing a bit of eyeliner at the bottom since I was rubbing my eyes like crazy because they were so itchy, ah well....I mainly did this look just to use my Studio Sculpt products anyway! I will post a pic of how the concealer held up soon, since the BF was hogging the laptop last night! LOL.
BTW, the Hello Kitty Collection is now available online at www.maccosmetics.com, Nordstrom's, and Macy's!

FOTD: Purple, Pink, & Blue Eyes
Labels: LOOKS: PINK, LOOKS: PURPLESorry for the lack of posts! We are moving offices at work so we've been packing and trying to work at the same time! Then I watched "Twilight" on Friday and I watched it again on Saturday with my friend Erica (hey I really want them to make "New Moon" and so happy that they are! So I had to help them meet their mark, lol). I won't spoil it for you ladies who have not seen the movie yet, but MY personal little movie review is that you should really read the book before you watch the movie in order to understand it. They took A LOT of the good parts out (essential parts in my opinion), and I know they had a limited budget AND it's tough condensing a huge book into a 2 hour movie, but I was a bit disappointed that they didn't develop Edward and Bella's relationship a bit more in the movie like it's done in the book. It was literally like they went from I want to kill to you, I hate you, to I love you in a span of a day (unlike in the book where it progressed)...but I still LOVED the movie just because of the eyecandy, Edward Cullen. LOL.
So I hope that "New Moon" will be A LOT better and stay true to the book, assuming they will have more of a budget for this movie...we'll see!
Anyway, here is a quick look I did the other day using last year's MAC holiday "Cool Eyes" palette...

FOTD: Island girl pink (using "Sunset B")

FOTD: Spunky Pink
Labels: LOOKS: PINKWow! Looks like many of you ladies are in search of a GPS! haha, some of you asked me which portable GPS I have, it's the GARMIN NUVI 350, and it comes with its own carrying case, the BF knows I get lost all the time, so I was really happy he got it for me a couple of Christmas's ago...and yes, I DO love hand helds and gadgets! I don't know why but I am really into electronics and games, glad you ladies pointed that out from "What's in my purse". And I do love the iPhone! It's the best phone i've had, it's really a one-stop shop for me, I can check weather, maps, email, go online, watch YouTube, ALL on it! So it's my "window to the outside world". I had a T-Mobile MDA phone before, and it was cool for a hot minute, but then I never got reception and couldn't go on certain websites.
Anyway, I did a look today with luscious pink lips because I was itching to do a FOTD using the Lancome Lipgloss in "Seashell" I just got, I am in love with that gloss! It's super pretty, yet the perfect pink and sheer at the same time! I can't wait to pair it with the "Desert Pink" lipstick I am waiting to get!
I kept the eyes REALLY, REALLY neutral, using "Provence" pigment and two eyeshadows, and I played up the cheeks with Milani Blush in "Cherries on Top" to match the lips.
MAC l/s in "Up the Amp", with Lancome Lipgloss in "Seashell"
What I used:
Face:
- Camellia Rose Skin Soothing Primer (love this stuff! review coming soon!)
- MadMinerals "Medium Golden" Mineral Foundation
Cheeks:
- Milani Blush in "Cherries on Top"
Eyes:
- MAC Paint Pot in "Soft Ochre" as base all over lid
- MAC "Provence" Pigment all over the lid
- Milani e/s in "Almondine" on lower half of the lid just above the crease
- MAC e/s in "Patina" (my favorite neutral eyeshadow) on outer-V and contour
- Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Black
- Covergirl LashBlast Mascara
- NYC eyebrow set
Lips:
- MAC lipstick in "Up the Amp"
- Lancome Lipgloss in "Seashell"
Also, Aquadisiac wanted to see swatches of the Jane Blush in "Blushing Earth" and the Milani "Luminous" Blush as I found them to be strikingly similar...the Jane blush was more shimmery and peachy, and "Luminous" had a slight shimmer but more of a salmon pink/peach.
