FOTD: Warm Holiday Look

Here is a look I did yesterday using golds and browns, such as MAC's "Blonde's Gold" pigment. I busted out my MAC "Painterly" paint pot which I haven't used in awhile as well. I brightened the eyes a bit by using UD e/s in "Baked" on the lower lash line. I thought i'd put a twist on a traditional holiday look by adding a little pop of color with a bright pink lip instead of a red lip. I think I like how warm it came out, definitely gives a nice glow and the bright lip makes you stand out!

- MAC "Painterly" on lid as a primer and to neutralize natural lid color

- Urban Decay's Naked Palette e/s: Buck, Smog, Darkhorse, Hustle mixed together and applied on the outer-V and contour. Wash of "Toasted" used to blend the colors together and give it that nice metallic shine.

- Clinique Lash Primer
- Shiseido Lifting Mascara in Black
- MAC Technakohl e/l in "Graphblack" on waterline

- Contoured with MAC "Emote" blush (as well as on the temples)
- Mix of MAC blush in "Coygirl" and "Springsheen" on apples of cheeks

- MAC lipglass in "Magnetique"

I also got two pairs of shoes on sale, they are normally over $50 each, and I got them both for around $60 with tax and shipping! I love how comfy they are!

New Outfits & Makeup Looks

I got a few outfits from Charlotte Russe when I was in Vegas, and I also got a few outfits from Forever21 (online), and since many of you have asked for more fashion related posts, I figured id post some of my haul. Forever21 had a sale on this long black sleeveless cardigan for only $5.99! And I LOVE IT! That was probably the best bargain ever! I got a turquoise ruffle dress from Forever21 also, I used an old H&M belt I had to dress it up a bit. The short/tube top set (they are attached together like one whole piece) I got at Charlotte-Russe which also comes with a faux alligator skin belt. It's a bit too revealing for my taste (as in too much skin at one time) since I don't usually wear shorts (because I desperately need a tan LOL), so I most likely would wear it with a cardigan or the vest like shown below to tone it down, but it's super cute.

It's wrinkly because it was packaged tight when it was delivered to me. :(

FOTD: Using "Flip" eyeshadow, Underplay l/s & 2N Lipglass

Here is a quick look I did using "Flip" eyeshadow, I also wanted to use MAC's "Underplay" lipstick that my mom bought me at CCO when I was in Washington (it's discontinued which sucks because it's such a pretty color!) But you can find it online or at CCO's. (Cosmetics Company Outlet) as well as the "2N" lipglass I bought. I also popped in some colored contacts for a different effect, I used Freshlook Color Blends in "Violet".

FOTD: Laker Colors!

I am sick. Bleh. The BF is always hot and I am always cold, so he wants the fan full blast AND the windows open, while I want a thick blanket with the windows closed. So I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and my sinuses and eyes were so dry, and last night I couldn't sleep because I was coughing every 10 minutes. But now I am just sucking on Ginger Ale flavored cough drops by Halls, yummy!

So last night the BF and I went to the Lakers vs. Grizzlies game at the Staples Center, my boss got us boxed seats up in the stadium with an open bar and food, we had a lot of fun just hanging out with everyone. It was actually my first time at a basketball game EVER.

Here is my FOTD using Laker colors, and two purple and yellow heart stickers (I love stickers!)

Quick EOTD (eye of the day) look...

I forgot to take a full face pic because the BF was rushing me to hurry up and between trying to run out the door and him telling me to hurry up - I forgot. :(

But it's ok because I have a better FOTD planned: one featuring a look from Sephora I am trying to imitate, and a better FOTD using some of the new Metal-X eyeshadows from good 'ol MAC.

First of all, the Metal-X eyeshadows DO crease, HOWEVER, depending on how you apply it, you can definitely avoid it. First, apply it with your finger or a sponge tip applicator, the sponge "absorbs" any excess cream therefore not making your lids too oily which causes creasing as well as giving you better control during application. Another thing I noticed, is that it helps to use a base, such as UDPP, a paint pot, or a neutral colored POWDERED eyeshadow, that controls the natural oils of your lid for smoother application of the Metal-X eyeshadow. Smoothing it with your finger also smooths and flattens out the eyeshadow to give it more of a vibrant color and that powdery finish it gives (since it goes from cream to a powdery finish). What I like to use the Metal-X eyeshadows for also, is a sort of a base to just enhance the vibrancy of eyeshadows colors. In the look below, you will see how vibrant goldmine eyeshadow looks over the Pure Ore, rather than if it was by itself. So for you ladies with oily lids that have creasing problems, you can use it as a base under your eyeshadows.

This look reminds me of a parrot I used to have, he was yellow and green all over. I used Rubenesque paint pot, and "Pure Ore" and "6th Sin" from the collection for this look, as well as MAC eyeshadow in "Goldmine" (first half of the lid), MAC Pigment in "Emerald Green" (second, outer half of the lid), and Milani eyeshadow in "Garden Mist" (on the middle of the lid).

FOTD: Gold Stroke & Golden Lemon Pigments

I received the jars yesterday, however it's already all gone! I can't believe I had so many orders lined up and so I ordered more! So Jennifer, Erica and Susie, your orders will be shipped out tomorrow.
***For you ladies interested in purchasing some pigment samples, PLEASE email me (email addy is above) with your first and last name, the colors you want, and your address. I have to take private orders to gauge how many jars I will need, as well as if I need to re-stock on pigments. Again, the colors I have are: Teal, Violet, Golden Lemon, Emerald Green, Your Ladyship, Gold Stroke, Cool Pink, Pinked Mauve, Fuchsia, Vanilla, Sweet Sienna. It's on a first come, first serve basis, once I get them all in, I can then see what is still available. I wanted to try a soft natural everyday look just using the pigments, and I just bought "Gold Stroke" and never had a chance to use it, so I paired it with the "Golden Lemon" Pigment and it actually came out really nice (in person anyway), so these pictures don't even do it justice. My co-workers liked it too, so it's definitely going into my "favorite-look" book.
