FOTD: Green look using "Princess Caraboo"

.

A reader requested I do a look using the "Princess Caraboo" eyeshadow from my lime crime post a few days ago, so here was a look I did this morning. Oddly enough it looks like a green look I did a few posts ago but used totally different products for this look, goes to show that there are so many dupes out there!

The BF was sweet enough to get me some pepper spray for protection, LOL and it's PINK! I didn't even know they came in colors! Years ago I had one, but it was all black...so I GUESS he's in some ways like Edward, always trying to protect me, PUHAHAHA!

What I used:

[Face]

- MAC Prep + Prime Base Primer
- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC35
- Purely Cosmetics Mineral Foundation in "Olive Beige"

[Cheeks]
- Flirt! Cosmetics Bronzer in "Golden Minx" for contouring
- MAC Blush in "Nuance"

[Eyes]
- Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer (on right eye)
- UDPP on left eye (for a comparison)
- MAC e/s in "Sour Lemon" and "Eye Popping" on the inner corners
- MAC e/s in "Bio Green" (PRO) on the middle of the lid
- Lime Crime e/s in "Princess Caraboo" on the outer-V and contour
- NYX "Black" on lower part of the outer-V
- MAC e/s in "Shroom" with a touch of "Goldmine" as highlight on brow bone
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- L'Oreal XXL mascara in "Blackest Black"
- UD Eyeliner in "Zero" on waterline

[Lips]
- MAC Cremesheen in "Creme d' Nude"

FOTD & Tutorial: Smokey Forest Green

.

A reader requested a smokey green look, the photos don't do it justice since the flash made it look a lot lighter than it is in person...also I used MAC e/s in "Bio-Green" which is a PRO only e/s, but you can get it at the MAC PRO stores without being a pro member. I think the closest dupe to it is either MAC pigment in "Kelly Green" & Ben Nye's "Chartreuse" (type it in the search box for a swatch/comparison).

What I used:

[Face]

- MUFE HD Primer in "Mauve" (purple, and yes a review coming soon!)
- MAC Studio Fix Concealer in NC35
- MUFE HD Foundation #127

[Cheeks]
- MAC Fafi Blush in "Hipness"
- Milani Blush in "Luminous"

[Eyes]
- MAC "Moss Scape" Paint Pot on lower half of the lid
- MAC "Bio-Green" e/s (PRO) on lower half of the lid
- MAC "Humid" e/s on outer-V and crease
- MAC "Fresh Green Mix" (dark side) near the middle of the lid
- MAC pigment in "Forest Green" (LE, from last year's "cool" pigment set) on outer-V
- MAC "Ricepaper" e/s as highlight
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara

[Lips]
- MAC "Myth" lipstick as base
- MAC "Propagate" lipstick (LE)
- MAC "Beaux" Lipglass from this year's Neutral lipglass set

EOTD: Butterfly Eyes

.

I know Nabi had a contest recently on doing a fotd using a butterfly as inspiration, but making it wearable, so even though I didn't enter her contest I decided to do a look anyway, using a butterfly that was in a bouquet of fake flowers I have in my room.

Sorry no full face pics as I just did my eyes and skipped foundation and all that...

no eyeliner and mascara...

What I used:
- MAC e/s in "Gesso" all over the lid
- Pressed MAC "Kelly Green" pigment
- MAC e/s in "Carbon" and Milani "Storm" on outer-V and contour
- MAC e/s in "Femme-Fi" (LE) as highlight
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara

FOTD & Tutorial: Gilded Green Pigment

.

I have acquired so many eye products lately so I will be doing many FOTD's because some are just really pretty colors! Here is one I did using the "Gilded Green" pigment from the Colour Forms Collection (MAC). At first I got "Tea Time", but after seeing it again in person, I just HAD to get "Gilded Green"! (And because green is one of my favorite colors!)

I also used one of the Lustre Twins, "Ripe & Ready" with its twin, "Soft & Lush", it's such a pretty deep coral color.

What I used:
[Face]

- Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
- MAC StudioFinish Concealer in NC30
- Purely Cosmetics Mineral Foundation in "Olive Beige"

[Cheeks]
- MAC Blush in "Springsheen"
- MAC Blush in "Emote" to contour

[Eyes]
- MAC PP in "Moss Scape"
- MAC Pigment in "Gilded Green" (applied wet on lower half of the lid)
- MAC e/s in "Humid" on outer-v and contour
- MAC "Ricepaper" and "Goldmine" eyeshadow as highlight on brow bone
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- Shiseido Mascara Base
- L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara
- Milani Pencil in "Black" on lower lashline with "golden olive" pigment

[Lips]
- MAC Lustre Twins in "Ripe & Ready" & "Soft & Lush"

Tutorial:

Apply your eyeliner (optional) and mascara:

Then line your lower lashline with a green color and black eyeliner on your waterline and smudge them together:

This is a look I did a few days ago, I used MAC "Night Light" Pigment (LE-Limited Edition), and the dark green eyeshadow from the L'Oreals HIP Metallic Eyeshadow Duo in "Gunmetal".

Sorry no full face pics, I was looking like crap thanks to my allergies, lol.

What I used:

- Dark green side of L'Oreal's HIP Metallic e/s Duo on outer'V and contour
- MAC "goldmine" e/s and "femme fi" as highlight
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack" on upper lashline

EOTD: Using MAC Electro Flash MES in "Fresh Green Mix"

.

I have tons of FOTD's I just haven't uploaded them...including Sea & Sky as that seems to be the most requested. I will try and upload them all this week...since I haven't done any FOTD's in awhile.

I am trying to do a few more looks using the Beauty From The Earth minerals I have, so once I do a couple more I will post my review on it as well, I am hoping I can post it by Thursday.

Someone requested if I can scan the MUD Face Charts so you all can use it too, so I will scan it tonight (if my scanner at home works). :)

Anyway, here is an EOTD I did yesterday, I only did ONE eye hence no face shots yet because my other eye had a purple and pink look (told you I had a lot of FOTD's!), so I plan on doing this look again this week and will post a full face shot, but for now, just check out how gorgeous the "Fresh Green Mix" MES is! It's seriously the perfect green and not too bright or overpowering. Definitely wearable to work and school, and you can definitely work with it to incorporate other eyeshadows (like Knight Divine, Carbon, or Milani Storm) as I did here....I used Milani Storm on the outer-V and contour (a tiny bit) to darken the crease.

The lower half of the lid and inner corner is the light green, and the darker color is the marbled side with "Storm". The lower lashline is MAC e/s in "Humid". Eyeliner is MAC's Fluidline in "Blacktrack". Used Shiseido Mascara Base and L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara.

Here I was playing around with it on a face chart that I got from the IECSC show from the Makeup Designory booth...
