btw. would you happen to kno a good eye cream?

A: Hi Jen! It didn't take that long, id say not even a week for me, it really also depends WHEN you order it, I know there are some websites that have a time cut off for purchases (i.e. you purchase AFTER 2pm, it will be shipped tomorrow, before that same day type thing), also if you order on a FRIDAY, it most likely won't be shipped until Tuesday since they still have to process it. If you created an account with them, it should show you the STATUS of your order, if anything, try giving them a call and see where your package might be, let me know if you receive it as well as if you like it or not, I would love to hear it!

As for eye creams, I used a POND'S eye cream LONGGGGG time ago for dark circles but didn't see a difference so I returned it. But the eyes are definitely something we need to take care of, the area around the eye is VERY delicate and of course our eyes say a lot, they can show signs of stress, fatigue, and dark circles.

To reduce puffiness, your best bet is to treat the affected area with a lightweight eye gel containing chamomile, green tea, cucumber, or aloe. I would also recommend drinking plenty of fluids, using a cool compress or some cucumber slices.

L'Oreal Revitalift Eye (around $10) moisturizes the eye area, and absorbs quickly and completely without feeling greasy or heavy. Revitalift Eye easily compares in quality to more expensive creams from Clarins (Extra Firming Eye Contour Cream $42.50), Bobbi Brown (Eye Cream $32.50) or Lancome (Primordiale Yeux $40) - all without the sticker shock. Remember: price does not always equal quality. Just because an eye cream costs $50 and claims to erase years from your face doesn't mean it will.

Avon Anew Perfect Eye Care Cream SPF 15 ($12.50) includes sun protection, which helps prevent wrinkles from sun damage, and its lightweight texture absorbs quickly, perfect for under makeup.

***MY FAVORITE***Pond's Soothing Cucumber Eye Treatments
(around $8 for jar of 24) can! With cucumber, green tea, chamomile, cornflower, orange peel, and rose hip extracts, plus aloe vera gel and vitamin E, these pads feel heavenly after a long day, or while soaking in the tub. Keep them in the fridge for the ultimate cooling sensation.

Clinique All About Eyes
($25) is, in my opinion, the best of Clinique's selection of eye creams. It successfully combines the benefits of a gel (reduces puffiness, feels cooling and soothing on the skin) with the moisturizing and smoothing properties of a cream. The texture is very silky and makes a fantastic base for eye makeup without crumbling or creasing.

Sun-kissed.

To get this look, I used:

- Physicians Formula Bronzer

- Milani Eyeshadow Quad in "Earthy Delights"
- Large, Medium, and Smudge Brushes and an eyeshadow applicator.
- Everyday Minerals in Light Olive Intensive

For lips: I used NYX Lipgloss in Taupe #42 and Bath and Body works lipstick in "Goldmine".

Similar to my first visual where you make "swatches" of color, you are going to make only 2 swatches of color, which is the orange/bronze color from the inner corner of your lid to the halfway point of your lid, then take the dark gold looking color, using the medium brush and gently brush that color on from the halfway point a little past the corner of your eye, and BLEND!!!!

I then applied my everyday minerals foundation, and then instead of blush, I used a bronzer to give me that "sun-kissed" look. Then for my lower lashes, I smudged in the same orange/bronze color.

I bought Covergirl's "Line Exact" liquid eyeliner in Very Black, I wanted to get another eyeliner small enough for my purse, and I love it! It's like a PEN! I also bought another Milani eyeshadow in "Blue Ice", the color is SUPER pretty! I also bought a MAC paint in "Chiaroscuro". I am going to try the paint as a highlight base, the color looks gorgeous on their website.

Milani Blue Ice, pretty aint it?

My dirty brush bin....I gotta clean em.. :(

My First Video..HOW TO APPLY EYELINER

I apologize for three things: the shitty quality, it cutting off too short, and my fat face. HAHA.

It's of "email size" so it cut the quality by a lot, and I am still trying to figure out the settings but it cut off by itself, so im assuming I only have 3 minutes each video..not sure yet, but the last part was to clean up smudges with a good ol Q-tip. :)

My new tripod and new shipment of EVERYDAY MINERALS

My boyfriend surprised me with the tripod i've been wanting which I never had a chance to get since i've been busy with makeup, haha, so I was really excited and ripped open the box and set it up, now I feel like a real photographer. HAHA. I want to take some night shots with it as well as more makeup shots, like before and after, and things of that nature.

VIDEOS:
I soon will have some video tutorials, I am just in the process of trying to make the file size smaller for easy upload and viewing, so stay tuned! My first video is "how to apply eyeliner".

I also received today my third shipment of EVERYDAY MINERALS, this time of course with a mini size in "light olive", though I am contemplating of also getting "fairly light neutral", its good to have 2 foundations, one for the winter, and one for the summer as your skintone changes.

Here is another crisp, closer look at another "gradient eyes" look (like my Hello Kitty shirt? haha):

Rainbow eyes and Stacks

*EDIT from previous blog(s). Marie-The Longs Drugstore I went to was in Azusa, but I believe if you go to their website, www.nyxcosmetics.com, they have a store locator that will tell you which store around Northridge or Granada Hills carries NYX. I believe the Longs Drugs on Zelzah and Chatsworth in Granada Hills MIGHT have it, but call before you go to be sure. Let me know if you are still unable to find it, and I'll do my research and find some places that sell NYX.

And sorry I forgot to mention where I got the overnight bag, in the midst of my excitement I forgot to mention that important detail! Sorry gals! :)

I bought the overnight bag from http://www.bagsbuy.com for $34.45, they have FREE SHIPPING, NO TAX, and FREE RETURNS. So basically the price you see, is the price you pay. No calculation needed! For the overnight bag I got, CLICK HERE. It comes in black, fushia, and periwinkle. Luggage.com has a better description as well as additional images you can see: CLICK HERE.

I will post my review once I get it, and of course pictures!

***ALSO*** For those who have emailed me for tips, etc., PLEASE include your name AND/OR email or MySpace page for a personal reply back. Some of you write under "anonymous" so it's hard for me to get back to you other than on here...for the gal who wanted to know how to put on eyeliner, stay tuned! I will post that up soon! :)

I received my stacks today (to put in loose powder or pretty much whatever you want):

They were bigger than I thought, but nonetheless, they hold a lot...

As you can see comparitively to the size of my hand:

Close-up:

I also got some mascara and lipgloss wands so that I can start doing make-up on people, gotta be sanitary! (im nervous!):

I got my Mineral Powder Flat Top Brush from Lumiere which I LOVE!

Here is what I call "gradient eyes", this is usually how I wear my makeup everyday (using more of a taupe color instead of black which I used here). This is one of my favorite looks that I sorta invented for myself just messing around with makeup. I basically highlighted the whole lid, added more of the light color all over, and just shaded in the outside corners and outlined the top, the key is BLENDING, that's the only way this look can be done is by blending! Harsh lines will ruin this look, so remember to always BLEND!

I played with more looks recently, I am really digging the "rainbow look", obviously not for going out in public because it's a bit TOO bright in real-life...but it's a nice fantasy look for a photoshoot. These photos are un-finished, meaning it's just eyeshadows that were used, no eyeliner, no mascara, just to see how they would look...

I WILL TRY AND GET SOME VIDEO TUTORIALS FOR YOU GALS, SO IT'S EASIER TO LEARN! STAY TUNED! :)

Overnight Bag

There are times where I am just a girl on the go. Literally.

I find myself sleeping over last minute at the BF's house, or far away at a shoot, that it's PHYSICALLY hard for me to carry my ENTIRE makeup collection- in my huge, hard, STEEL metal makeup box.

Therefore, I invested in an overnight traincase by Travelon. It's super cute inside, I didn't like the quilted look on the outside, but I don't really care how it looks as long as it serves its purpose, which is to hold all the essentials I need for the night...or weekend.

It comes in black, fushia, and periwinkle. The mini was too small, and the deluxe was too big, so I got the medium train case just for ME! It's awesome in my opinion as it holds 7 of my makeup brushes, has a compartment for jewelry, and 2 zippered compartments for let's say a toothbrush, lipliners, etc.

I am so happy I don't have to lug that big metal box for just a sleepover or a weekend getaway anymore and having to leave my favorite eyeshadows behind because I couldn't carry them all!

The outside:

Imju Fiberwig.....MILE Long Eyelashes!

.

I know there are many of you gals who can't apply falsies (fake eyelashes) because let's face it, they are hard to put on, and who wants to deal with that? Besides, wearing falsies frequently can cause eye irritation, I mean you ARE putting GLUE on your eyelid! Which is why it's usually used for special occasions or photoshoots. But alas, a mascara from Japan called Imju Fiberwig actually has what they call "fibers" that attach to your natural eyelash hair giving you the appearance of FAKE EYELASHES! Without all that mess AND it will NOT give you raccoon eyes and smudge. It's supposedly sweat, tear, and waterproof. I read some reviews on it, and A LOT of people actually like it.

I think I might have to pick this up at Sephora ($22) and see for myself!

Read some of these links for other people's reviews!
