FOTD: Purple, Pink, & Blue Eyes

.

Sorry for the lack of posts! We are moving offices at work so we've been packing and trying to work at the same time! Then I watched "Twilight" on Friday and I watched it again on Saturday with my friend Erica (hey I really want them to make "New Moon" and so happy that they are! So I had to help them meet their mark, lol). I won't spoil it for you ladies who have not seen the movie yet, but MY personal little movie review is that you should really read the book before you watch the movie in order to understand it. They took A LOT of the good parts out (essential parts in my opinion), and I know they had a limited budget AND it's tough condensing a huge book into a 2 hour movie, but I was a bit disappointed that they didn't develop Edward and Bella's relationship a bit more in the movie like it's done in the book. It was literally like they went from I want to kill to you, I hate you, to I love you in a span of a day (unlike in the book where it progressed)...but I still LOVED the movie just because of the eyecandy, Edward Cullen. LOL.

So I hope that "New Moon" will be A LOT better and stay true to the book, assuming they will have more of a budget for this movie...we'll see!

Anyway, here is a quick look I did the other day using last year's MAC holiday "Cool Eyes" palette...

What I used:

[Face]

- MUFE HD Primer in Mauve
- MAC Studio Fix Concealer in NC35
- Fyrinnae Mineral Foundation in "Sunstone"

[Cheeks]
- MAC Blush in "True Romantic"

[Eyes]
- MAC PP in "Painterly"
- MAC e/s in "Medallion" all over the lid (from last year's antiquitease "cool eyes" palette)
- Beauty UK e/s (the pink e/s on lower half of the lid)
- MAC e/s in "Trophy Pink" on top of Beauty UK e/s
- MAC e/s in "Modern Heir" and Beauty UK Purple e/s on contour/crease
- MAC e/s in "Shadowy Lady" on outer-V
- Urban Decay Glide Eyeliner in "Lust" on lower lashline
- MAC Fluidline in "Blacktrack"
- Exactlights mascara

[Lips]
- MAC l/s "To Swoon For" (LE)
- MAC l/g "Magnetique" (LE)

I love this look! It makes me want to give my colored liners another shot, but I can never get the look quite right. I'll try again, though, because this one looks fabulous. Keep 'em comin', girl!

Hi Nessa! As always, I'm always blown away by your FOTD!!

I have a question: I'm looking for an affordable digital camera. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!

I love it. Makes me want to try it for some random day at work. (:

Good job like always.

I haven't watched Twilight yet and I've read and followed the book before it was all mainstream. I love the story too and BOOS that they cut it shorts. . of their relationship because it's mainly about their struggles and how their love conquered all!

(:

Oh pretty pretty eyes!

I agree about the movie. As a big Twilight saga fan, I enjoyed it because I loved seeing the characters come to life on screen. However I wish they developed the relationship between Edward & Bella more. I was trying to watch it from a "non-readers" perspective, & it just didn't make much sense! It totally helps to have read it first, but I think books-turned-into-movies shouldn't be that way!

Oh well, I still want to watch it again. I love the Cullens hehe. And Jacob. <3

Wow Vanessa I love that look and I will try it for sure! I don't know what's with your lips that every color looks so yummy!

love the look, trying it today. I'm with you on Twilight, only I think I would like the movie better if I hadn't read the book (twice)and hadn't started reading Midnight Sun (on StephanieMeyer.com) before seeing the movie. They changed so many little things that really didn't need to be changed and the characters were under developed. If I didn't know the story yet the little changes wouldn't have bothered me. I still would have read the book and loved it.

I agree with you completely about "Twilight." I was a late-comer to the saga and read all four books in August. (I wanted to see if Stephanie Meyers lived up to the "Next JK Rowling" hype; IMHO, no, but the books are a fun read.) Anyway, I loved the eye candy, but felt the screenwriter shorted the audience when it came to the romance. I'm in film school now and have a ton of suggestions for the next film. What I'm wondering is if the third bookd, "Eclipse," will get made since Rob Pattinson won't be in much of the sequel, "New Moon." Without him as eye candy, I wonder how many of us will come to make a third worthwhile for the studios.

So pretty!
I love the pop of Lust under your eye :)

I saw the movie too, and I enjoyed it. I went with D and R, D hadn't read the book, R had, and they both liked it (they're both guys).

Gorgeous! The movie's not out here until December, I expect I'll break and find a torrent long before then. I'm glad they changed some things - I still can't believe Twilight has no showdown! I want me a showdown!

I finished Breaking Dawn the other day and loved it, as much as I disliked Twilight and New Moon, I think Breaking Dawn redeemed the entire series.

LOVE this FOTD, your results using your BeautyUK palette are so much better than mine.

another pretty look! I love the pink eye shadow, is there anything from the permanent line similar to it? or a dupe for it in a drugstore brand? thanks!

Thanks for updating everyday! :)

I feel so disappointed when I visit other make up blogs and they don't have a new post (I know real life but it's just disappointing!) plus it adds on to the fact that the blogger doesn't respond to the readers.

Love your blog!
