Side note: Another celeb preggers! Jessica Alba is pregnant! Crazy! Just thought id share. LOL. :)
So now that i've been dipping into more makeup products and different brands, I am really starting to notice the very close similarities of high-end products to drugstore or cheaper brands such as Avon.
So I recently bought this, haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but it's Avon's Lip Delight Lipgloss in Apricot Ginger, $4.99 on AVON.COM
And here is the high-end version, Lancome's Juicy Gelee, $17.50
Avon's Big Color Eye Pencils, $6.00
MAC Shadesticks, $16.50
Daring Definition Gel Eyeliner, a whopping $3.99 on Avon!
Indelible Gel Eyeliner, $8.99 from Madminerals.org
MAC Fluidlines, $15.00
Avon Glimmersticks Lip Liner, $6.00
MAC Cremestick Lip Liner, $14.00
AVON Ultra Color Rich Lipgloss, $6.50
MAC Lipglass, $14.50

hi nessa, are the avon gel eyeliners of avon smudge proof/waterproof? i'm having a hard time finding liners that would last the whole day (or at least most of the day). thanks a bunch! :)
-holly
Holly- I personally have not tried the Avon Gel Eyeliners but I am pretty sure they are the same as the indelible gel eyeliner which is the one that I use. They both have the same gel-like consistency, and based on the Avon reviews I see (just click on the link to take you to it) they said it stays on all day!
Thanks for posting this! People trip me out how they can only purchase higher end products. Even if I could afford it...you get more for your money when you can find AND cheaper dupes. I'm definitely heading over to AVON.com to see what's lookin' good. Thaaanks!
AHHH! You're tempting me to buy more makeup!!!! AAHHH!!!!! but those Lancome Juicy Gelees, I'm not down with sticking my fingers into a lipgloss, i know lipbrush, but that just takes the fun out hee hee....ok i'll be quiet now....AAHHHH!!!! makeup dupes!!!!
wow thanks for posting about the comparisions in product/prices. ya know i used to sell avon. omg the discount was amazing. but then i just stopped-didn't have the time for it. but i wish i kept going. and yes avon products are really good but of course, MAC takes the cake. ;)

Hey Vanessa!
I thought the Alba thing was crazy too! She seems so young to be a mom!
Avon is not as good in the UK as it is in the US and is quite expensive now! booo
omg! i didn't know jessica alba was preggie! how cute, i love her i'm sure her babies will be adorable :)
jessica alba's preggers?!?!? no way! good comparison shopping =)
Personally, I have found that avon doesn't have the consistency of the higher end...eg. Avon lipglosses..they are not to my liking, so i wud def have to try anything avon before i go and buy it. ESPECIALLY since u went and compared it to my lipgloss #1 Lancome! :) Oh, i have a glimmerstick eyeliner in Avon which is pretty good. Talk about won't wash off! lol..
She's preggo?? Wow! Thanks for the dupe finds.
I've only ever used a mascara by Avon and no other makeup, but if it's anything like their skin care, then I would vie for a "medium end" product over Avon. I tend to think Avon is over hyped. But then again...so aren't most of the high ends brands too.
Hi,
I discovered your blog through girltalk. I once owned the Avon Gel liner. The consistency was more creamy than gel-like. And it didn't last on my lids. I've tried those indelible gel liners and it's better than the former. Can't really compare to MAC Fluidlines since I just bought Uppity, and haven't used it hehe.
Keep on posting! I love your blog :)
