I am absolutely in love with Makeup Forever, especially their eyeshadows! They are so heavily pigmented that one swipe is already loaded with vibrant breath-taking color. If they weren't $18 a piece I would have had the entire collection by now. :)

What I loved about it: Their eyeshadow colors are so gorgeous and like I said remarkably pigmented, the color-payoff has yet to be beat from other brands, INCLUDING MAC.

What I didn't like about it: The snap compact that houses the eyeshadow is horrible. For one thing, it snaps closed so fast when you open it as if there is some mysterious magnet just pulling it closed each time, it's rather annoying. Second, the front part of the plastic compact is all flat, there are no grooves or little openings like MAC eyeshadows where you can easily pry it open with your fingers. The Makeup Forever eyeshadows require some effort at times just getting it open as you have to pry it with your fingernail wedged in between the compact. Another thing is that they have very limited color choice (at least at Sephora), as well as locations you can buy it from, and $18 bucks is a bit steep.

Overall: I love these eyeshadows. I actually like them better than MAC eyeshadows because they are super pigmented, however like I said, MAC has a very wide range of colors to work with so hence MAC would win this contest. I definitely plan on buying more despite the hefty price (as MAC e/s refills are only $10.50), but then again it's only $4 more than the compact MAC e/s AND it's a lot more pigmented and bigger in circumference so I guess it evens out.
