Product: 4 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 4 out of 5
Price: $19.99+ (depending on which one you get, the one with cleaner, two beauty blenders, etc)
Lasts for about: 4-6 months
Where to buy it: PurelyCosmetics.com, Planet Beauty Stores, Online, etc.
What it is: Beautyblender’s patent-pending elliptical shape makes application foolproof by allowing you to access hard-to-reach areas with stunning ease. Its suede texture is sensual to the touch and its unique curves fit the contours of your face, leaving your make up dazzling and undetectable. Beautyblender is latex free, non-allergenic and odor free.
USE: Use the wide bottom of the sponge to cover larger areas for stippling and the pointed end to get into hard to reach areas.
PROS: It's pink! LOL. I love that it is small enough to carry with you in your purse, for travel, and the elliptical egg-shaped sponge does make it easy to get into hard to reach areas like the sides of the nose and the inner corners of the eyes. It is easy to clean and comes with its own cleaner, but Robyn from Purely Cosmetics says that it's also easy and safe to clean with Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap (in case you ever run out of cleaner!). The container itself holds the sponge which is great for storage and prevents bacteria from accumulating on the sponge since it has a lid as well rather than having it 'out' in the open. I found it very easy to use, just dab it on your face like you normally would with a regular sponge until you reach your desired effect. You can also use it wet to apply your mineral foundation wet for more coverage. It does give the same coverage as a flat top buffer brush so it's a nice alternative. Also, if it's time to throw away your beauty blender, you can send it back to them for recycling! So its great for the environment too!
CONS: As much as I love how small it is, I wish there was one that was a bit bigger to cover more surface area as it took me a bit longer to apply my foundation in comparison to of course my buffer brush, I am sure that once I start using it more often though I will get better at applying my foundation faster with it.

I always thought it was bigger! LOL but when I saw the photo of you putting it near your face..it is small! :) The selling point is that, it's PINK! LOL
I've always wondered about this product. i see it a lot, but i wonder how soft is it, and how does it exactly get into everything? that sounded dirty LOL!
I did a review on this before, too! I really like it, but I still think using a foundation brush is easier. =)
haha it so cute looking, glad to know it's environmental friendly!
i've seen this around too...i love it already just cuz it's pink lol..
hey this is so eggy and so pink! very interesting product. thanks for the review.
very intresting. im still skeptical on it...ive read gee, emilee and now your review on it..idk im such a clutz i think i wont be able to work it lmao

NO ONE is a bigger klutz than I am! I bouce back and forth between using the Beauty Blender and my regular brushes. It's not hard to use at all, though it does take a few stabs before you get the hang of it. Then again, think of how long before you got the idea of "swirl, tap, & buff" down pat! It is great for traveling, as you don't need to take nearly as many brushes with you. It's also much neater (as in less messy, although it's much neater as in "cool" too) than a brush as the powders just sit on the top of the sponge; there's no tapping off the excess and watching your countertop and/or grout turn colors. Because the powder just sits on the top, it is waaay easier to clean than a brush as well.
Ethereal - it's very soft. It's also very pliable, and smooshes easily, which is how you can get the pointy tip into hard to reach areas.
For those who want to try it, this is the time to do it! Don't forget, you can order it from my website, and if you use the coupon code nessasary in the "redeem code" box on checkout, you'll save 15% on any order of $20 or more. I think I'll go change that coupon to $19.99 or more so that anyone who only wants the Beauty Blender doesn't miss the discount by $0.01!
robyn, robyn... i think...you may have sold me...im a sucker for discounts!
I'm so glad you reviewed this! For the longest time i've been wondering how the heck that works and why it costs $20! lol! Thanks girl!
i really like your nails, are they real?
Great review! I actually bought the Sonia Kashuk blending sponge and am testing it out. I think I may have ruined it a bit, though. LoL. I tried cleaning it with handsoap (big mistake!), but I do have some Dr. Bronner's, so I'll have to try that next time. Thanks!
Isn't that just the cutest thing! I used latex and natural sponges for years and finally gave up and just went back to my fingers for liquid application. I have been researching stippling and flat top buffers for minerals. I may suck it up and drop the $20 for this.
Do you know what the 'life expectancy' is for these?
I wasn't going to buy it just because of the price but I think I'll try it because Cherry Culture's having a sale!
Cheeky - The "official" life span is 4-6 months, but a lot of people have had theirs for a year.
it looks cute enough to eat! lol.
Oh this is the same sponge from what Kathy Jeung from Vogue.Tv use in her make up! I thought it works so well from what I saw... thanks for sharing this information!
